Thanks, good informative video. I have ordered an analyzer which will soon arrive. Now, I have an Acura MDX and the battery is covered with a shroud and only the positive terminal is visible. Question, will the analyzer work properly if I attach the ground cable to the body of the car?

After 46 years of working with automotive batteries , I was totally amazed at your statement that 11.9v is a "Little Low". Good Grief Charlie Brown. That is a 50% discharged battery.

If that offshore tester is accurate 9.4 V is below the standard for a good battery. 9.6 V and above is the standard for a good battery. Go with an American battery analyzer such as midtronics, they are considered the gold standard in the industry.

I just did this test on my car battery and the state of health is reading 63% does that mean the battery is good? or does it need replacing?
