I also really like how while Rodan can't spit fire or anything, ( tho it can shoot heat waves from its wings as seen in KOTM ), is way more skilled, overall strategic and cunning than Quetzalcoatl who on the other hand while having the distanced attacks advantage was other than that some..., big birb
But it's nice that she wasn't that much outclassed by KFC pteranodon

in fact, in the paintings of rodan that appear in kotm, they show him spitting something (possibly fire) from his mouth.
Implying that he is capable of spitting "fire", it just hasn't been shown.

It's insane how much you evolved. Very nice effects. And the creatures look alive. The gestures, the eyes, everything is on point. Overall very entertaining to watch.

I do really appreciate how your animations aren’t one sided. So many Godzilla animators just make their favourite kaiju solo the other and win with ease, making the battle quick, boring and uninteresting. But you don’t, you make both combatants fairly equal and use their strengths like power, speed, abilities and intelligence. This makes your fights way more interesting to watch and why I think you’re the best stick nodes/pivot animator. Good job!
I know right like that godzilla vs shin godzilla he made shin godzilla so powerful that he not only go thermo but turned legendary to bone although he went thermo and to top that it was 2021
Fun fact:in the monsterverse Queztacoatl is in it so rodan having a confrontation with her could happen
In Aztec and indeed more Meso American Lore I was known as a intelligent being that brought maize to humanity (farming) Creator of books (writing) patron of Priest (Doctors, Priest, scholars, teachers) and a god that encouraged the arts and crafts.
In others I was known as a creature who was a minion of another god, and most as a creator god to earth and humanity. In most I was against the sacrifice of people especially in Aztec lore.
I feel if they do reintroduce me in the monsterverse proper they should do one important thing.
Have the creature adorned with gold jewelry, fully feathered or mostly feathered, and able to communicate with humanity either via telepathy, possession or able to write, and show that it was a protector of humanity.
Godzilla is a defender of his territory and Earth
Mothra is a defender of life.
Quetzal (My version) should be the direct defender of humanity. (not as nice as Mothra, wants to be more involved in human affairs, and perhaps has a bit of a ego god complex)
However one important thing here is that it wants to be around humanity.

I love how well you mix the parts where the characters are seen from the front, those details show that you make content of absolute quality.
Well-played utilizing the unique aspects of these aerial combatants. I agree that GtS Kaiju are underrated when used in projects such as this. What makes this even better was playing into the strengths of both opponents as characters. The expressions and personalities determine the tactics and decisions made here. Rodan especially is one hell of a crafty, quick-witted bastard, coming up with moves on the fly (pun intended), and knew it wise to let his opponent leave without further scuffling
Overall, another excellent animation from an equally excellent artist ;)

Surprised that quetzel was able to hold her own against Rodan, and I like how this feels more like a territorial (for Kaiju standards that is) dispute than an actual to death fight
You would fight Rodan too. That bird has anger issues.
I'll be honest, Not usually a fan of these, but this one had some pretty smooth animation actually. Sound design of the wind rushing past the monsters in flight and all the little growls and snarls was pretty well done actually. The fight was pretty inventive too. Nice work. Would love to see Rodan square up on El Gusano maybe one day. The day that the worm got the bird ;)
Actually I feel that Rodan can easily be the bird that was the symbol of Mexico. El Gusano and or A Manda could easily fill in the role of the snake it was attacking. Also I feel that Manda's would likely be a appropriate prey item for a giant Angry Bird.

I absolutely loved the designs of the monsters in Godzilla: The Animated Series. They were monstrous yet their designs were rooted enough in reality to make them truly awe-inspiring. They’d be right at home in the weird and wonderful world the Monsterverse has created. You can tell that the crew working on that show had a lot of passion and understanding for kaiju media as a whole (which is more than what can be said about the crew that worked on the film it’s based on).
I just finished watching and I love the take you have on Rodan. Rodan's like the overconfident, cocky guy, Quetzalcoatl is just a curious, "goofy" bird.

Wonderfully animated fight, as well as use of environment and an underrated monster! Great job!
I love Godzilla The Series. What's really interesting to think about with this fight is that GTS Quetzalcoatl is based on one of the original concept designs for Rodan. It's kind of like Version 4.1 facing off against Pre-Alpha 2.1, and Pre-Alpha held her own very well.
Animation feels much more clean and cinematic, and the effects are better more more dynamic shots. Excellently well done!
Wow, your animations always end up amazing me!, They're seriously pretty outstanding and I'm very aware of how much of a hard work they are to do, so as always you and the rest of the team deserve some rest when developing the "Godzilla:Lord of the Galaxy" series

Phenomenal work, per usual.
I really enjoyed the choreography, effects and cinematography and especially animation. Rodan spinning mid-air was the best part imo.
Although the moment when Rodan smacked Quetz with his wings did make me chuckle.
Man- imagine a fight between the Ender dragon and Smaug with this level of animation, that would be really cool.

This is great! Really love the fluidity of the animation, and even some of the more cinematic shots sprinkled throughout. Super fun fight choreography too! Ya did justice on behalf of both Rodan and Quetzalcoatl! :)
The fight was fun and engaging with good animation, loved how expressive the monsters are, as well as the sound effects and how it felt like a battle for territory between two giant animals.
Definitely stands tall above the relentless sea of whale/sharkzillas and super venom sirenheads and other junk.

Fantastic job! I haven't seen such detailed pivot animation on any other channel, and I really like how you choreograph the fights. It definitely makes them feel more alive.

I love how every titan/kaiju are determined and perseverant, never giving up even if they knew they had no chance
I love how you showed this in the animation and how no one had to die makes it more interesting and realistic.
The only time something would die is if it was being hunted, but if it had seen a potential threat it would run away or fight.
It's awesome to see your back and I love the way of how Quetzalcoatl starts the fight is basically her being territorial she overall see that whole area as her turf and Rodan crossing by was more like trespassing to her. Meanwhile Rodan never really wanted to fight but will if he must he personally could not let her attacking him slide while mainly using his intelligence's to outwit her and I'm happy they both survived she got a family to take care of and honestly she lucky cause I don't think Rodan would have gave her mercy overall 100/10

Great as always. Everything improves with each upload of yours. I like how the two fighters ended up retreating at the end, realizing their skirmish isn’t worth the risk of injury or death.

This was stella , I loved how reasonably balanced this fight was. Quezt has ranged attacks and rodan is more strategic. Your also really close to 1 Million subs , you got this in stride now 10/10

I originally watched you when i first got my phone and stopped later on due to other things happening in my life, but i always looked up to you cause you reminded me of me, I love godzilla and dinosaurs aswell as your fun content and when I first wanted to watch these kind of videos, I didn’t think they would exist cause I didn’t know anyone who was amazingly talented at animating AND makes content that I also enjoy.

Rodan decided to leave Quetz instead of finishing her off, letting her escape and tricking her into thinking that he is nowhere around.

Hello Dinomania, long time, here I am again really impressed with this new video-animation of battle so spectacular, it is totally and completely worth waiting months for a new battle of creatures in your animations, this time I play air kaijus battle, the Great Rodan vs. Quetzalcoatl? Honestly, I just met this bird kaiju with this video, I think it's amazing, an interesting design of a monster bird and incredible abilities like that power breath that it shoots, I really like those details of the energy breath...really I with the I only know the word "Quetzal" the huge extinct flying reptile, that deity of the feathered serpent and that real life bird, Xd. The scene at minute 2:28 seemed really epic to me, that Kaiju Quetzalcoatl is seriously cool, he is worthy of being Rodan's natural enemy (surely he is, someone confirm it for me).

Quetzalcoatl is like that early concept art of a Rodan design that was inspired by an archaeoptery.
Also Rodan needs his own movie where he fights his own monsters instead of being a side Kaiju to Godzilla.

Honestly I felt that the animators could have given me a little more respect instead of having Quetzal look like a Rodan Concept. However now that I think about it, perhaps it was original supposed to be Rodan meaning Rodan likely was originally to have Meso American origins.
I can't find any evidence of Rodan being in the animated series so I believe Quetzal was original supposed to be Rodan.
Also this would mean Rodan having Meso American connections predates Godzilla King of the Monsters.
@@Quetzalcoatl_Feathered_Serpent I mean, the episode Quetzalqoatl appears in has homages to a 1980s film "Q, The Winged Serpent", one of the characters is named after the director of that movie and Quetzalqoatl is called "Q" at one point.

I like how the fight begins with them grabbing talons and holding on. Just like birds of prey do when they're fighting over territory and/or food.
