    • @TheRobynsNest
      @TheRobynsNest  Před 3 lety +5

      Thank you! I like to roll out my fondant and mark off my pattern then let my fondant air dry for at least 15 mins before I start cutting it. I find a tiny sprinkle of tylose powder mixed in helps a lot too! Also be sure keep your blade clean at all times. I clean after just a few cuts because the blade gets gunked up easily. Practice holding your knife at different angles when cutting as well, you’ll feel and see a difference for sure.

    • @TheRobynsNest

      I would suggest to make them the night before. They should still be soft in the middle so the spaghetti will sink in a bit. @Robyn Doucette - The Robyn's Nest Robyn, I have made those poles. Should I keep them in an air tight container? Or let them stay out for a while? Also I have started making the letters etc. I made the cake layers and frozen them. How many days before the party should I ice cake and add the fondant bits?

    • @TheRobynsNest
      @TheRobynsNest  Před rokem

      @@sophiastopford2857 you want those poles to dry out as much as possible, so no, no air tight containers. You want to put them somewhere safe that is warm and dry. As for the cake, you can frost that a couple days before hand and store it in the fridge. The frost acts as an air tight seal for cake☺️ however, any longer than a couple of days in advance and you will want to freeze it.
