I watched this video about 5 times. Very nifty and the name came out great! I would’ve added a bit of tylose powder to the fondant so it dries/stiffens before cutting it. Well done and thanks for sharing. ❤
Amazing!!! I'm excited to try this!

4 years with Cricut making just paper cake toppers, 3 machines now including cameo but crying when cutting fondant names with x-acto blade by hand 😢😢 THANK YOU to your videos no more crying!!!
I am mind-blown right now. Cricut take my money now!
You are a life saver!!!
Chassity Hunt your very welcome.
I was wondering if this was possible. I have been doing things the hard way. Thanks so much for sharing this method. I have a Cricut Create, so it only has a 6x12 mat, but I am thinking with some adjustments, it should work for mine as well.
Very cool! I never knew I could use my cricut for this. I'll definitely be trying this out. Tfs!
Tysm for this video!
Amazing tutorial!!! Such a cool idea and the video itself is so detailed, Thank you thank you!!
Sassy Cake Decorating you’re very welcome.
Great video! I have a Cricut Cake I have never used!
That machine is actually food safe so that’s awesome if it still works
Thank you so much for this video!

Mind blown!
I am still in shock, I have a cricut maker and also bake cakes, so this will take it to whole new level, thank you, thank you
You are very welcome
Yes! I suck at writing on cookies! This will help a lot!
@@BakingSavvy you are using the cake cricut tho? Right? I've never seem one like yours.
@@marikiemarie7622 no, this is the Cricut Explorer Air 2
@@BakingSavvy is this machine only for edible image ….. I’m trying to figure out if I to buy 2 separate machine for edible and non edible?
GENIOUS!
Great, thank you for the video
You are very welcome :)
What type of cricut machine you have this is a game changer thank you
Best tutorial I have ever seen. Is it possible to make cookie molds with this machine. I do want to get one but I need to do more research on which one to get. 🥰
Incredibly grateful to you for sharing your hard work. This is brilliant! 💖💖 Your steps are so easy to follow and my first time to use your techniques came out beautifully! Thank you!
Mind blown
Awwwww thankusomuch!
Very nice1👏
Thanks!
Wow!
@Baking Savvy Thanks so much✨ New Subie💋
This is awesome, I am new to cricut world and I am trying to learn heaps of different stuff before start using it.
I wonder if it would cut well with sugar paper/icing sheet
Wuau!!! No lo conocia
Beautiful!!!! thank you very much...subscribed!!!please what Crichton machine do you recommend?
Nice upload.
What blade are you using it appears to be longer than the deep cut blade or the regular blade
This is so good
Can I use the knife blade for this,?
Great video. Suggestion -- the Cricut can print. Instead of drawing the lines and numbers yourself, you can have the Cricut do it for you.
Oh yeah just put the sharpie in and let it draw itself!
Thanks for that. I might just do another video with this suggestion. Time to get creative!
Great video! Was wondering what blade can be used on the Cricut Maker to cut the fondant! Thanks!
Best use deep point blade in original black housing. It has more clearence than fine point blade housing.
Hello I want your channel seems spectacular and with your videos I have learned a lot, but I want to level up and I want to buy the Cricut to only use it in pastry decoration and fondant cutting, which one do you recommend and where can I buy it.
Thank you, greetings from the Colombian coffee mountains
Happy for your video! What kind of machine do tou use please?
Is that anny model of Cricut machine can be used on fondant ?
Wouldn't be easier to get a new mat and just cover it with the tape or just permanently bond the protector to it?
Can a "Cricut Cake" be used to cut like a regular cricut machine as well?
Can you use the Cricut Explore Air 3 to cut fondant pieces?
Can I cut wafer paper on the machine too? What would the settings be?
Can you use other types of blades?
Which Circuit was this... and can I make Cake Toppers with this circuit.
Can you cut logos ? Like detailed shields ? With fondant
Would this work with hardened royal icing or frozen buttercream frosting?
do you think i would be able to do this with polymer clay?
Thank you for the wonderful tutorial. We have tried making our own mat as you have suggested in the tutorial and followed it exactly, making it slightly shorter. But before the first cut, the cricut pulls the mat in to measure the size of the mat and because it is shorter than a "standard" mat, it is rejected. Is there anything we have missed or that we can stop it doing this to measure the mat? (We have an explore 3). Thank you for your help, Rob
That is the problem with 3 model machines. They scan length of mat. Perhaps you can try with some thinner material applied directly to the mat to save on thickness.
Great information! What about the new Cricut Joy? Can it also cut fondant or gumpaste? Thank you 😊
Cricut has a statement out there that these machines are not food safe even though there are others claiming there are food safe mat. While mats other offer can be food safe, the gunk and oil from machine is not safe. I do know people will do what they want to do though. Lol
Thank you for this! I have the old explorer where the settings are pretty much relying on the dial. If I cannot customize my setting like you did, what would be the closest setting I can set the dial to? Cardboard, thick paper, etc…?
Move your dial to custom and you will be able to select materials in the Design Space. As far as I'm aware, it applies to all machines with dial.
It’s not working for me with the deep cut blade. Is my fondant too soft? Should I add something to it?
Cool video ..where did u purchase this machine
Hey! is there any other equivalent machine that is more budget friendly? . thank you
What typeface did you use please! Thank you
Ppleae can you pls list the name and size of the blade you use. Thanks.
Which Cricut machine are you using? Can this be done with a Cricut Explore?
Can i use the 45° blade?
Can this work with a cricut air?
Thank you for this video! Can i use the cricut machine for edible and non edible projects at the same time just by changing the mat and blade?
Good question
I have the Same question.
I don’t see why you can’t. It’s literally just cutting it. It’s not like using your printer with regular ink and then changing the cartridges to edible ink cuz there would still be traces of the old ink in there. This is just a cutter and you’re using a fresh blade and mat
Can this be done with a cricut maker?
What is the sheet of plastic called the food safe matt please?
So I can use a regular cricket for fondant?!
Can you use the cricut joy for fondant?
Have you found the answer to your question. I want to know also.
Can you tell me where to purchase the cake blade? I’m super new and I have no clue
4:33 does this include the cricut explorer 3 to cut fondant
Where can I get that blade???????
Which cricut model is this? I have the first cricut air. Will my machine do this?
Any update?
Will this work with a Cricut joy?
Where can you get this blade
Which blade do you use?
Please what is the modle of tour cricut
Hello where can I purchase the cricuit cake blade??????
Hi Lore, the Cricut Cake blade itself is discontinued. You can however find some from sellers on EBay if you are lucky. If you cannot find one, then you can use the Deep Blade from Cricut and it works just as well.
Can I buy any cricut machine to do editable images and non edible images? Or it has to be a edible printer/cutter?
I love your Matt I dea i def have to try it but I did purchased the correct Matt from icing images ETSY page but why do I move those rollers and then do I put them back to where they were, Im scared to move them
You have to move the rollers because when the mat goes through the machine, the rollers roll right over the fondant if you don’t move them.
@@BakingSavvy ok that makes sense now I get it. thanks
I’m using the cricut maker and my mat is rolling through but isn’t rolling back. How can I adjust this setting?
Same problem here with the Maker. She needs to amend her videos and tell everyone that it will not work with the Maker. The maker cannot use a mat smaller than 12x12.
Is there a specific cricut I should buy? What model are you using for this video?
Circuit Cut 2 ❤
It explicitly says though that regular Cricut machines are not food safe. There are Cricut cake machines that are. I’m just wondering, does anyone know why regular machines aren’t food safe? Is it just the mat, or the cutting tools/housing/etc?
