You can trace a straight line back to a monumental moment in my career, where I first performed “Somebody To Love,” launching me onto a brand new unexpected path of performing the music of Queen. Now, nearly 10 years later, I get to do it again from that very same home studio, but this time with the huge bonus of my band, the UQC, joining me on what is easily the most important Queen song to me. And what better time to release it into the world, but on Valentine’s Day! Here’s to love, and all the beauty, joy, and heartbreak that comes with finding it!

Great reaction, guys! Can't ever get enough of this cover. My guess is that Marc is performing for his wife, haha. She is a professional photographer and videographer and they make a great creative duo. Tristan Avakian, the guitarist, bought a hemp farm at the start of the pandemic, but I think he sold it, if I'm not mistaken. :)
Crystal’s photos are so beautifully crafted. She really is good at what she does especially the pics & vids she took behind the scenes during the Canada shows the band went to this year.

I still cannot understand why people play Marc when you can watch and listen to Freddie Mercury himself rather than an imitation.
It’s not really an imitation more so an homage. Marc’s mentioned in interviews that he TRIES to not sound like Freddie in the stuff he does (covers or originals)He adds nods & nuances whenever he does Queen to appeal to the fans (cause everyone misses Freddie). Just as he got older it became more of his natural tone, can’t necessarily control that, he’s tried other methods, but it just isn’t normal or comfortable for him to do so.
His originals and non Queen covers are great, highly recommend them.
IMHO it is because Marc Martel is a better vocalist than Freddie. (No disrespect to Freddie, he was also the penultimate entertainer, and had connection to his audience that few if any have ever achieved.) No singer gets as many requests to sing a favorite song, oftentimes from very great singers and the favorite artist of the requestor (Scorpions, Journey, and of course Queen et al.) This wouldn't be true if they didn't wonder how Marc would improve the song.
