Classic album from a great band. They, like so many others, belong in the Rock and Roll hall of fame above half of the artists that have been inducted. I saw TYA numerous times in the 70’s. They’re just not the same without Alvin. RIP my man.

A Space In Time is a great album. I have 10 Years After albums and use to have a yahoo group devoted to 10 Years After. A big fan. I saw Ten Years After back in 71. I was like 14 and that year also saw The Who and first show ever Grand Funk Railroad.

Their best album - very cohesive, commerical and great songwriting/performances. No clue why they seemed to turn their back on performing tracks off of it. I don't believe I ever heard a live version of "I'd Love to Change the World."

Around the time that the intro to "Stairway to Heaven" was heard a lot in Music stores where guitars could be "tried out" by would be customers, the intro to "I'd Love to Change the World" was heard, along with "House of the Rising Sun." Soon afterwards came "Smoke On the Water," and soon after that, people started staying away from music stores.

It was "I'd Love To Change The World" from this album that really propelled the band into legendary status. It is one of the greatest recordings of the 70s. I wish you would have touched on Ric's feelings about the controversy surrounding the lyrics. It would never fly in today's cancel culture society. The group would be banned.

Not much on the Album - and Iron Horse not even on it? "I'd love to change the world" is a nice tune, but the lyrics homofobic and without any analysis, making the sentence "I'll leave it up to you" quite meaningful :-)

Homophobia is defined as having or showing,a dislike of or prejudice against gay people. Where in the song are these sentiments expressed?

I ask myself the same question. Pretty off the mark from "crossroads"

I believe Iron Horse is on the new album that Ric Lee is promoting.
