One year ago, I was driving on the highway at night with my mom so I can get an hour of supervised driving. There are usually trees and hills that cover the sky with only a few areas not covered by trees and hills. But right at the perfect time, there was suddenly a meter just in our feild of view on the horizon burning in bright and luminous light as it hurdled towards Earth and entered its atmosphere. We just happened to be at the perfect place and the perfect time. I haven’t seen a meteor ever since that time and it was definitely a breathtaking moment.

I remember a meteor from years ago that briefly left a bright "contrail" behind it.

There are some serious inaccuracies early on in the video. First, there was no annular eclipse in December 2023, but instead on October 14, 2023 that went through North and South America. Second, the total solar eclipse on April 8 has a maximum duration in the US in Texas and shortest in Maine. In Texas, totality will be about 4 min 26 sec to 4 min 19 sec along the centerline. I'm not sure where this narrator got 1 min 18 seconds from. Third, the next total solar eclipse visible from the contiguous US (Lower 48 states) will be in 2044, not 2045. While there will be a total eclipse in 2045, there's another one a year earlier in August 2044 visible from Montana and the Dakotas.

I would add that the next transit of Venus will be in December of 2117 and then again eight years later in 2125.

Newfoundland is a Familiar name for Me because We have always had and still have 3 NEWFOUNDLAND Dogs what is one of My Favourite Dog. Am I right Newfoundland is the Place Where Titanic have been Found, it's in North-America or Canada and Newfoundland Dogs are an Originally From There? Here in Finland There's almost Always too much Clouds Up in the Nightsky what's Sad. 🌎🌍🌏🌫🌨❄️🌊🚢🐕🇨🇦🇺🇲🇫🇮😢

@@Leo-pd4fcThe remains of the Titanic are to be found in deep waters about 350 miles from the coast of Newfoundland which is an island that is part of the province of Labrador and Newfoundland in Canada.
The Irish settlers named it as Talamh an Éisc, the Land of the Fish.

I'm in Niagara Falls NY, I scoped it out last September, if weather permits, we could get a blizzard in early April--if it's clear you can go on goat Island and get a picture of eclipse over the horseshoe falls, it's a skywatchers dream.

Are you sure that the transit is this year? Because it will mislead a lot of people due to it being at least 8 years from now.

I used to stare directly into the sun as a child thru a window and I only had watery eyes afterward. Of course I wouldn't do that now
