At about 20:31 this episode really started to hit me and I almost started crying. I think this is legitimately one of the best WTNV episodes I've heard yet.

Honestly I love these kinds of episodes. It takes a lot of skill to be able to make a holiday such as Valentines Day into something that can make you genuinely start to tear up, and honestly I congratulate you

I've been so busy I haven't gotten to listen to WTNV recently, but I am so ready to catch back up and reach here, as soon as I have the time (which hopefully should be in less than two weeks, if even that!!). And I'm excited, because apparently these episodes are really good :). So I've seen/heard, anyway :D. So excited to get here!! This is one of my fave episodes in a while wow! Normally every episode has at least one banger segment, but in this one EVERY SINGLE SEGMENT was a banger!!! Truly spectacular writing!

Suggesting that the reason Cecil is doing an episode on how bad Valentine's Day was, because Carlos forgot to get him a gift. Carlos being more of a St Patrick's Day person could suggest he forgot Valentine's completely, and eating little at the picnic could be because he's upset that he forgot

I wonder why they still do this. I noticed the numbers drastically dwindled compared to the early podcasts. I would be disheartened to see that. Soul crushing.
I think it's not really a big source of income for them, not unlike their other careers.

Most people solely listen to podcasts on Spotify these days, I'd imagine. A lot of listeners probably follow WTNV there.
A lot of people are slowly catching up with Night Vale, you'll see a lot of comments on videos saying things like, 'oh havent listened to an episode in ages!' Also the earliest episode had more time for exposure, I'm sure in a few months, years those numbers will be even higher.
most people listen to this outside of CZcams, and WTNV is one of the top fiction podcasts overall afaik. These numbers aren´t the only ones.

"hwyls" fits, though it is limited to the english alphabet because i dont speak nonlatin languages yet. it does comply with the pintail duck hieroglyph making a "sa" sound, and means fervor and excitement. i imagine another solution in ancient egyptian could be found, but i am not the man to find it. "hwyls" is a rare word of british origin and is related to the welsh language.
i’ve been slowly working my way through the series, and i just wanna say i got to this episode at just the right time. maybe i’ll invite my friends on a picnic 🥲
