      Clayton County History Hound These diamonds are resorbed, meaning all the diamonds here aren’t octahedron. These diamonds have a shine you can’t miss, because of their facets, and colors. White, yellow, brown are the common colors. There have been green, blue, pink, orange, rainbow, black, red, purple also found. They glow when the sun isn’t out.

    Have you tried sluicing the gravel? Due to their mass, it would probably work like with gold, only a little lighter. I might also try to take everything from the general density spot and wash through with a gold pan. Density won't lie, but the colors and outside clearness of diamonds totally do, and may look like ordinary rocks, given away by their shape and hardness as far as I know, having found 0 diamonds.

    • @DiamondMinerIvins
      @DiamondMinerIvins  Před 4 lety

    So seeings how this is my first time watching one of your videos, I have to ask.. I guess you guys aren't allowed to use any kind of sluice box or anything to go through the material there? Diamonds will get trapped in a sluice box just like gold will, if you were allowed I'd definitely use a pump and high banker/mini trommel to make it much easier on you.

    • @DiamondMinerIvins
      @DiamondMinerIvins  Před 4 lety

      it wouldn’t be a very good idea, these diamonds can be flat, and some have known to float in muddy water. The sakura is you best tool to find any type of gem stone, because the heavy minerals will concentrate in the center, and all you have to do is pick your diamonds!!

    You said when you walk out onto the field that's the East drain. Is that to your left, to your right, or straight ahead as you enter the field? Are you referring to north, south, east and west as directions of the field, or are you referring to where it would be if you have a compass pointing in that direction you are referencing? It would be really nice if you had a map as you came out of the entrance into the field and pointed to where all of these places are that you're referring to, such as the east drain and west drain and North Hill and snake pit, because when you are walking around with a camera all we see is dirt and trees, you turn the camera off, then when you turn it back on, it is confusing which area you are walking to. Where you said you had found eight of your diamonds, I have no idea what part of the park you were in. Just a 3-minute video with the video showing what you're talking about and pointing to it would be absolutely phenomenal, and I would greatly appreciate it, kind sir if you would do something like that. You are absolutely very kind for showing us how you look for diamonds, what you look for, where to look for it, and you share your knowledge and your adventures, and it's greatly appreciated! But. no equipment allowed at the crater that requires electricity, or a engine. all manual out here. Plus these diamonds are Hydrophobic, they hate water. the diamonds would swim in the water, and go right off the mats. The saruka is the best method finding gems.

      Probably not. The way i do it, is the best way while at the park. If you take the material home you can use equipment that requires electricity.

    How can you tell a quartz and a diamond

    • @DiamondMinerIvins
      @DiamondMinerIvins  Před 4 lety +1

      The diamonds have a metallic shine, plus they are very heavy for their size. Also if you have a large diamond, it won’t stick to your fingers like quartz will.

      @@DiamondMinerIvins interesting. I like learning so when I read things I never knew it blows my mind. I had no idea that diamonds come in all colors. I worked for a jewelry store and was shocked that the diamonds they sold were so small like chips, or chocolate, or spinel. To me that was a con to the public to make you think you got something special not low grade.
