    that first one was savage. I'm happy I that I live in the uk. in the uk you can say to a police officer "hi officer I'll Co operate" or If your being arrested "I'll come quietly officer" and they are then not supposed to put you in cuffs but it will worsen your sentence If you try to escape after saying that and declaring yourself.

      In Portsmouth England (My student days) I was stopped by police one time, and asked if I needed a lift, because I was carrying a laptop and it was raining.
      I am black. In America, I expect to catch a bullet for "suspected theft of my own laptop" and after they shoot me, I expect to be arrested for "resisting arrest".

      Hey sunshine, it's dangerous over here. We have drug cartels that operate like proper militaries. The US is BIG, it's a huge chunk of the North American Continent. With our much higher population comes more crime, and a lot of it is quite violent. Trust me, I live here. My only major criticism is that we incarcerate way too many people on nonsense like marijuana and such instead of leaving the cells available for violent offenders, and other genuine social liabilities. Do your homework and don't rely upon propaganda for your information, especially if one day you aspire to the CID.

      SolidShark100 Lol, British police used to beat the crap out of people with their truncheons if they were disrespected & thats a fact mate in the not so distant past.In America police aren’t meant to use their guns as a first resort anyway. The difference is that uk police are more highly regulated than American police are.

    • @MichaelBeaneA
      @MichaelBeaneA Před 6 lety +1

      MarineAqua45, with the US, we have federal laws to be governed by as well as state-mandated laws. LEO's here are also heavily governed by the agency that employs you as well. With that being said, a police officer in NY would be different than a police officer in let's say NC because of state/local laws and rules to follow by. America is heavily regulated in policing, at the point of being too much. A few officers with the LAPD violated city policies because they returned gunfire on a suspect who was shooting at the officers. I never lived in the UK so I am unfamilar with the regulations that is required.

      Scotland controls gun ownership very tightly. Apparently, the government knows that Scottish Citizens can't handle guns safely. So, for their protection, like parents keeping firearms stored safely, the government controls access. That is probably wise as Scots simply don't know how or have the experience to handle guns safely. This applies to England as well. The people realize their weakness and vote for those politicians who will protect them from themselves. Good thinking. Understanding your own incompetence is a smart thing to know.

      He was a mixed race guy..he was shot in the process of about to resist arrest, throwing his handgun away. The gun was found thrown under a car I believe..and that same gun was handed to him the same day by another guy charged. They were all wrapped in an ongoing police operation. The family created a fuss, lefties cried racism and Britain burned. It was disgraceful. Parents driving up their kids to electronic stores and sending them in to steal TVs etc. The big chains were all insured, but burning down small independent shops, who didn't have the same setup..frankly the silly stuff BLM gets up to reminds me of those days.

      Evan Garcia The worst case of police firearms brutality & overkill was The Stephen Waldorf incident in 1983. Waldorf was an Innocent man, who was a film editor,who was manipulated by an armed robbers girlfriend, Sue Stephens,to drive into an ambush, whereby his car got raked by .38 calibre bullets from S&W revolvers that were signed out by the Flying Squad,in revenge for this armed robber ( David Martin) shooting a patrol officer whilst disguised as a woman. This paved way for more legislation on the use of firearms including the PACE Act 1984.I believe there is a drama called Open Fire, which recreated this incident. Even I was shocked at the behaviour of these Pink Card cowboy Squad detectives, who were firearm trained & should have known better & poor Sue got pistol-whipped along with Waldorf. That's one of several incidents that tends to be forgotten by arrogant & ignorant Brits. Before 30 years ago, beatings occurred

    in both of the US clips we have resisting arrest.
    The first case the guy gets immediately out of the car on own, thats not normal behaviour. He could have a gun or a weapon that puts the officers life in jeopardy. When people get out the car like that they usually have no intention on surrendering.
    When they get him to the floor you clearly see him resisting as he doesn’t allow officers to cuff him. There is still an officer safety issue as they haven’t searched him yet, he could still have a concealed weapon or at some point, he could over power the officer and take his gun, the longer the fight drags out the more at risk the officer is.
    In the second video you clearly see that the person does not let the officer cuff him, he is clearly not cooperating.
    its not fair to compare US to UK, different environments and different economies. UK has the highest police to civilian ratio in the world per capita, just under the vatican. The US doesn’t even make the top 30. Force has to be leveraged.. and disarming police of their guns in the US is not a realistic option in a gun environment, in which most gun possessions are illegal.

    Yes, GB cops are infinitely more civil and courteous, but there are times when I think they could be a little less tolerant with those serious reprobates who need a good arse kicking. US police are permitted to be violent, because US is a violent country. It can never resemble GB police service, because the two cultures have vastly different values and cultural mores. Naturally, not all US cops are loose cannons, but you can be assured that a large percentage of them will have an attitude at the slightest excuse. Immaturity and over-compensating( a la “my arms are bigger than yours”) seems to predominate. Sad, but it’s the real world over here. How fortunate British citizens are. Let's go over this, shall we? There are more guns in the US civilian population than there are actual population... Some estimate onwards of 350 million firearms. The civilian population has them to protect themselves from any and all threats, the cops carry them for the same reason. If one side has guns, so must the other, it is for this that the US can ensure freedom and liberties but also order and peace. If you were a cop in the US and somebody you're dealing with suddenly does a sketchy move and you don't know what they're doing, who they are, or what they have... Yeah, it's a damn good idea to have a firearm out and ready, it happens. Officers are taught to protect themselves first in a possible firefight as they cannot do their job if they're dead or heavily injured. In the UK, there are very few guns and even less capable of being a combatant's choice, which is why there are so many knife attacks in the UK. This tends to make the officers' objective of defending themselves while also doing their duty quite a bit safer and easier... In my opinion it is much more important for both sides to have firearms... But there are obstacles to everything... It just so happens that the police force are dealing with the problematic one here in the US. Also, as a side note, this video is very biased showing only the best clips from one side and the worst from the other.

    Edit: American police are good people, they aren’t savage or killers, they just try and keep Americans WAY safer so they have weapons. Cops mostly do not pull out their firearms when stoped a vehicle. They need a reason but also American cops including the UK they can do anything they want. American cops are different, there’s mostly VERY nice cops so this means it’s rare to meet a bad cop. It’s only common to meet very aggressive cops in city’s like Las Vegas since A LOT of bad people.
