Never give up a perfectly good chokepoint. They had one way to get in and you had the hole covered nicely. Then you opened it up. Then you sent your air support away,all four, to pick up two squads of clones, that really only needed one LAAT. Also i think your turbo tank can crush enemies. Like run them over.

Remember to maintain your formations, the stations do block off the reinforcements that drop in, you got hit with the first hypervelocity cannon and panicked scattering the formation when you had whittled the station to less than half, the hit destroyer was still in the green, just needed to do full powered volleys on the station and it would have popped, the. It would have just been a quick mop up after.

You can jump out of system then jump back in, and all your stuff will be healed and all their stuff will not be replaced
I always feel like auto resolve is stacked aginsted you in this game. Battles that you could win eith 0 losses have you loose half a Fleet
You can always retreat, sometimes in battles you have taken a lot of losses but you can retreat, refresh your forces and come back.
Edit:You can’t retreat if in a space battle the engines are gone, but if their not you can use this strategy.

Honestly wish youd retreated after dealing some damage, to return with more support ships and repaired capital ships, seems like something the republic would agree with too
Not to nit pick or anything cuz you look like youre having fun, and i dont wanna be that guy, but remember to also keep all your capital ships fully engaged. i noticed in that cato nemoidia battle two your venators werent facing the CIS ships fully front-on, which means their full gun complement isnt able to fire. Not trying to be an asshole, just trying to be helpful. Your campaign has been super fun to watch and its encouraged me to try out this mod. Look forward to your next video!
EDIT: also, make a habit of giving your artillery their own dedicated hotkeys so you can direct their fire anywhere you need in a pinch, really makes a difference in ground battles
Yeah, you're right. Tried it out int he most recent video. Thanks for giving me some advice! Wish the models had some better pathfinding, but it is what it is, haha! Definitely using the hotkeys more.

On the lag… Sadly, as amazing as the modders are for this game, they can’t overcome the engine’s own core limitations. This isn’t a knock on them, mind you, it’s just that EaW is an *old* game, and it’s a 32 bit one at that. It’s limited to using 2-4 gigs of RAM and can’t utilize stuff like multi core support. Modders are amazingly talented people, those behind mods like Republic at War especially so, but nobody, not even professional devs, can just do that without the source code. Even with it, pulling that off would require a massive overhaul of the game’s engine.
That’s why I’m hoping for a remake of EaW which focuses on an improved engine and things such as ground battles. If this was a 64 bit game with a better ground template that kept the same fantastic space battles… the sky would be the fuckin’ limit. That or the source code gets released. If the source code was given to the community then hell yeah I can see modders pulling it off.
Disclaimer: I’m not a coder or programmer or anything. I’m just pulling on things I learned when asking about the difference between 32-bit and 64-bit engines.
I wish that would happen that would be sick but i doubt it would happen and the modders for eaw are amazing thrawns revenge, fall of the republic, aotr, eaw remake are some of the best mods available
