The assault Frigates are Rendili StarDrive designs. Rendili used to the Republic's main warship manufacturer before Kuat Drive Yards.

Fun fact; Balmorra used to be one of CIS' battle droids major manufacturers, probably explains why the civ militias are aligned to you. Also that was some damn lucky RNG for it to only have a single advanced factory.

Yep, small corvettes and cruiser battle groups while lore accurate, just kinda suck in the game since they have very little survivability and require heavy micro. The absolute best way to use small-medium craft is ability spamming with exceptional micro, kiting ISDs are actually possible and one of the most cost effective ways to win early game and late game Unfortunately this also turns space battles into diablo 3 or RTS than actual space battle tactics simulator, because you just gotta keep clicking......

13:58 You would love "Men Of War" then. Or "Act of War: Direct Action". In both games, heavy focus is on infantry and healing soliders to make sure you have elites. Since buildings exist, every single solider can become a tank if they have rocket launchers, and an mg nest if they have mg's. They can also clear buildings, which is always satisfying.
