Welcome to my channel I unbox guns in short video format. I focus on what manufacturers include in their packaging but also discuss minor details or features of the platform. I hope you'll subscribe. Let me know if there are any particular unboxings you'd like me to do.
Miller Gun Company
Dang they call this the poor man's honey badger but it's still 2K. Guess I'm a poor poor poor man. Anything over 1K is expensive to me lmao
I love how Q takes not so subtle swipes at their customers. Freeze it at 1:01 “It’s basically a poor man’s honey badger” 😂
Excellent review! Thank you! Your camera work is EXCELLENT! Just ordered the 16" Sugar Weasel today.
You always make the best unboxing videos man keep it up
Nice video more sugar weasel content some range vids or any upgrades you do for it
Would like to see you review the new Hellcat Pro
What's the weld looking spot on the front of the lower mine has it too and it bothers me lol
May do the q honey badger sbr
I’m making an aero precision M4 pistol to look like this I’m thinking
silver handguard with the FDE reciever(No forward assist) Grey SB3 pistol brace and a grey magpul grip with the cherry boom brake and whistle tip I can’t forget the ambidextrous safety and charging handle
How’d it come out? I made one also
Can you do a field strip/maintenance video
I just bought mine online. Can’t wait. 👋🏽🍑, any upgrade recommendations
eh, didn't get that sweet azz Churchill of a Box with mine 🤔
I just bought a Honey badger and I was wondering about my beat up magazine lol. Thanks for clarifying.
Sweet. I have a sugar weasel coming this week.
@@chitterlingsrtasty I almost bought that. But I had a 0% credit card for 1 year. So I chaired up on the badger. It’s my grail gun.
@@mox542 nice!
Did you get this from shooting surplus?
Anyone know what the buffer weight is?
She purdy kinda want to get this and then buy the 13 upper
Does anyone know if the muzzle device can be removed and a different muzzle device installed without modification?
Yes it can be removed by using a 1/2” socket on the front of it. They are not permanently attached.
@@GunBoxTherapy okay, so I can remove the cherry bomb and install my rugged razor 762 can with there flash hider?
So long as the thread pitch is 5/8x24 which is kinda the industry standard for .30 caliber firearms, so you should be good. I would recommend using rocksett or something to attach it with since the barrel on the sugar weasel does not have a shoulder like regular barrels do. It has a tapered shoulder.
Yes I think you need the taper 90 shoulder it’s on a web site
Looks like a Alg act trigger
You are correct! I found this out the other day.
Hate to break it to you but that is not clear anodizing on the upper and lower. The charging handle and buffer tube are but the receivers and I believe the hand guard are cerakoted.
Where have you heard or read this?
I’m asking because not only does the Q website state they are clear anodizing but my hands on experience with thousands of firearms as well as performing cerakote/anodizing work in customer firearms tells me it is clear anodizing.
I do agree with you on the handguard. I’m pretty certain it is cerakoted but I’m not 100% sure.
Also, I believe they are using both a clear anodizing and the MC-161 (matte clear ceramic) cerakote as a top coat.
So yes they use cerakote but it’s a very thin clear film and they are also using clear anodizing.
@@GunBoxTherapy under the cerakote is clear anodizing according to Q but the most recent sugar weasels have been cerakoted over with their custom mix to almost match the clear anodizing they had too many quality complaints of the clear not matching from batch to batch on the upper and lower receivers. I could be wrong but it looks way to even to be clear anodizing my sugar weasel is 4 different shades between individual parts on mine it was one of the last batches they didn’t cerakote over.
@@GunBoxTherapy
either way bad ass gun! Nice unboxing!
Yeah, demonstrating the inconsistency in color on camera was a bit hard as compared to other sugar weasels I’ve seen but in direct sun light and definitely under LED you can start to see the forging imperfections and that the upper is darker than the lower (very slightly). I plan on going to the range to shoot some shorts footage this Friday so I will attempt to capture that on camera.
I wish people would just stop the complaining when it comes to anodizing inconsistency. It’s completely uncontrollable even within the same batch of receivers. I think where the cerakote industry has failed most people is advertising it as a more durable alternative to type 3 hardcoat anodizing or even remotely comparable. It just isn’t at all comparable.
I’d rather deal with my rifle having shades of one color rather than my finish chipping/gouging from a minor scrape. That’s just me though.
Why are some of the hand guards light grey and some are dark grey?
Write a letter to Q and ask.
@@mox542 Yup, I actually did that a few days ago. The metals react differently to the application of the clear anodized.
@@chitterlingsrtasty thanks for sharing.
