My mom would always sign me up for kind of a summer camp, I'd go there Monday through Friday. She had to work and also understood the importance of me being around other children and doing activities instead of being in the house all day

i love ziya so much omg, she’s grown up a lot and it’s so cool to watch her!! I also have a brother the same age as ziya but since we have a 7 year age gap i find it hard to connect with him. He also just relies on me to do everything for him otherwise he melts down.

Me and my mom use to cook every meal together we always use to cook for our 11 siblings. And I was 4 at that time when I became 6 my mom would trust me in cooking alone. I started cooking since I was 6! And I still help my mom out.

Thank you for this video... i was trying to search "normal" summer days bc i have a 2nd and 5th grader and last summer they were with there father and this summer their with me but i feel like a new mom 😅... everybody showing 20million vacations and "extra" stuff. Teaching your children small life skills helps them to learn to be confident and independent. The younger the better.
I like how you make every moment a teachable moment and how you make Ziya feel involved: because it’s true!
A teachable moment equals more fun and independency because like you said before: Ziya can now do IXL all by herself and that jewelry maker toy kept her busy and giggling FOR HOURS once you taught her how to do it! Now you can step back once you get her started on it or set it up and she can play independently with it without getting frustrated because you taught her how it works! Such a good mother❤
OMG that bracelet that Ziya made is like bracelets in south africa that we used to make as primary school kids. We called them Scoobys (not sure why lol😅) but it was so fun braiding them all day long and trading different coloured strings to make rings and bracelets of different designs. Good times
