    I never thought I would see a video on how to hand wash dishes!

  • @ybuburxyutcertyffyyneyb2680

    Not using dishes at all uses less water. Just eat with your hands and drink with your hands by cupping. Cook using rocks and fire. No need to wash dishes if you have none.

    Man, these are some terrible dish washing tips. For me, I use hot running water to rinse my dishes. Secondly, I use a dish towel not a sponge. I also add bleach to my dishwater. Lastly I use a separate basin for the dishwater.

    Do people really lack the common sense that they have to tell you how to wash dishes? This was taught in Home Ec in 7th grade about 50 years ago. Glasses and cups first!

    Unless your unintentionally washing dishes.. who TF uses tha mt many gallons of water? Only those who decide to let the sink get filled to the brim and not taught to wash after every meal. One pan two boks 4plates is only 8-10 mins of work. I'll take thay any day, can't stand to hear the dishwasher running and running with water constantly being run with the high dollar dishwasher liquids/gels. Half the time I need to scraoe something off of a couple plates or forks.

    That is not true, who runs the water when hand washing? Fill up the sink with about 2 gals wash the dishes put them in the drying rack and then rinse them. you might use 4 gals max!

    When your drying rack is caked in the dripping off salad dressing you did a crap job of rising off, I don't care what you say, that's show's it's not clean. Pink slop does not collect on the floor of a clean room laboratory because the workers wash the spit off their bodies before going in.

  • @PrettiPurpleRaiYn_19.99

    All I can say is “duh!” I’m thinking as I watch the “helpful hack tip” doesn’t everyone “who hand wash” do this or something similar to this? 🙄🤔

    This is the state of American household common sense and basic housekeeping skills. Seriously? We need a TV station to show us how and why to wash dishes by hand and not to waste water? Most Asian countries wash by hand, not at all because they can't afford a dishwasher. A lot of stuff just do not make sense to use the dishwasher. Most American kitchen has a single sink which is brain dead design. A good kitchen sink should be two bowls with different sizes, and a built in drainboard.
    Cold water does matter as you will never have enough detergen to carry away the grease and fat. You must have hot water to wash efficiently. I bet the person giving the advice seldom cooks a meal from scratch.

    • @SandcastleDreams
      @SandcastleDreams Před 2 lety +1

      In the old days you had a large cast iron enameled single sink with a huge drainboard built in. You used a dish pan to hold the soapy water. Or, if you were poor, or in a rural area without plumbing, you pumped a bucket full of water and sit it in the stove until it was hot enough and used that to wash and rinse with.

    I can't believe this "hack" is necessary. I'm 42 yo, black, raised in the Deep South and in my Hlhouse growing up we didn't have a dishwasher. That's how I learned how to wash dishes. But then again, wth am I talking about? We now have things called Crustables in the freezer of every grocery store because for 15 yrs now parents have decided it was too dangerous for their 12 year olds to handle butter knives and make their own PBJ sandwiches.

    • @ybuburxyutcertyffyyneyb2680
      @ybuburxyutcertyffyyneyb2680 Před 3 lety +2

      IMO crustables taste better than a homemade pbj especially school ones. I don't think that is the point of it. You can make a burger yourself but its faster to buy a big mac.
