  • Maya 2020's newly exposed Remesh and Retopologize features allow you to take a messy, uneven mesh and redistribute its faces into something you can actually use for rigging and animation.
*UPDATE*: I figured out a way to use Bifrost to completely skip the manual cleanup requirement! See how here: • Skip manual mesh clean...

"fix it all at once" but with fast forward and multiple manual manipulations

Is this version more faster in rendering - viewport and with less bugs?

poly to vdb will fix that non manifold issues. should be one of the next features.

Great to have this feature available but from what I see in this video I think I will continue to use QuadRemesher in Maya. Better edge flow, speed, symmetry option and less manual cleaning in my opinion.

can anyone tell me if these are better algorithms for smart retopo than zbrush's zeremesher. It doesnt look like it has polyloop guidance tools.

Hi, what if I want have the same UV's on bifrost final generated model? Is that possible?

i have noticed most people complaining about its current functionality and not what it will be able to do in the future, i mean if we can have a system that allows you to make a quick/rough model and then have it fixed automatically then it would reduce model creation time 10 fold. Thats just to list off one possibility
