Yes it's a bit low, but it's his bass live sound that struggles. Sloppy playing, too much distortion and undefined low end. Again, it's not an excuse, of course it's mixed low in comparison to the rest of stuff. I'm a live audio engineer.

This is quite common with live mixes. Systems as big as the one used in that show produce obscene amounts of low end, so the mixes tend to sound light on bass on anything less powerful. If you have heard a mix from a live show that sounds good on headphones/studio monitors/home speakers, it was likely recorded multitrack (every microphone recorded separately) and mixed after the fact in a studio.

I still don't see the special thing about them to be so famous, i mean they have SOME good songs, but i dunno how to justify their success to be fair. In the hardcore scene there are 20 bands with better discography than turnstile....

En realidad no están haciendo nada muy nuevo. Hay decenas de bandas hc entre los 80 y 90 con un estilo y energía muy similar. Turnstile también es bueno. Pero a mi gusto eran mejores hace unos años atras

Que raro se ve todo sin la gente corriendo en el escenario, eso es lo malo de la masividad se pierde el feeling directo con la gente. Igual se merecen todo el exito que tienen!
