Duncan called Lebron the best player in the world when he was 22, and when Kobe was in his prime. Oof.
Ok. And Bill Russell and MJ said Kobe was in a whole nother league than Lebron. Oof? You can't compare the two like that. They're both greater at different things. But you're probably someone that never played a second of basketball. Or any sport for that matters..
@@nickbrooks2408it’s different tho cause Russell ain’t a contemporary to them. He did not play against any of them so it’s different
@@erikescobar6616 Okay. Gilbert Arenas,AI, and even Ray Allen said the same thing. Is it still different? You can't compare the two like that. Same as Jordan and lebron.
@@nickbrooks2408 Duncan was better than all three of those guys
and he was right lol, only thing kobe has over bron is 1 ring that's it
When Klay Thompson said "I guess his feeling just got hurt", that's one of the best proof of what Gilbert Arenas said is true. That's how LeBron pulled the biggest comeback in The NBA history.
You mean when the nba suspended Green
@@TheAztecWarrior100 and LeBron and Kyrie still dropped 41 the very next game he came back….?? Fuck is we talking about
What comeback? You can only have a comeback if you had a status and lost it. What kind of status are we talking about? I don’t see a relevant status🤷🏼♂️
They had 3 opportunities to close them out Foh
@@rayking2396 And then Bron dropped 41 again. These niggas say anything
Heh. I remember Miami Lebron when he shot 60% for weeks. So efficient. He was contending for the league lead in scoring, but was taking on 19 shots a game.
Averaging 30+
He averaged 30 shooting 60 percent for like 9 straight games. That Miami season was crazy. But these things go unnoticed because people dislike lebron.
It may be 15-20 years from now that we will appreciate how great #6 really was in those 4 seasons
dude has the second highest ppg in 2022 rn im dead lol

13:23 Tim Duncan said this about a 22 year old Lebron in his 4th season! That's wild respect! 😳
Game recognize game
@@mak.lee_pnw5098 facts
and he definitely meant that shit 😂
TIM DUNCAN said that. That all you need to hear
The brain on Lebron is something else. He’s basically a coach and a PG, plus all the other things he does on the court simultaneously.
@@EXCEDRIN10 true.
Just hyped because nba is boring and soft now

Tim Duncan...
On a team with multiple HOFers
Legendary 😊
Unless people don't want to admit Tim Duncan is the GREATEST PF ever, His statement about a 22 Year old player, makes him definitely The GOAT in year 2024
Man I cried at the Kobe section. Hurts to know we lost a legend so young and Lebron lost a friend and mentor so soon.
Rip Mamba and Rip Gigi 🙏🕊
Kobe was always Kool but he became big bro since the Olympics
I love the last few clips. People who watched both Kobe and LBJ play both against and with each other know they both respected the hell out of each other's game. People who say Kobe was just a ball hog who just chucked up random shots are stupid. LeBron has mentioned constantly how high Kobe's basketball IQ was. People who say LeBron has no killer instinct and isn't competitive and just wants to link up with great players are stupid. Kobe wouldn't have shown so much respect towards LeBron if that were true. Kobe did not waist his time with people who weren't competitive and who didn't have the itch to want to be great. I'm so glad to have witnessed 2 GOATs play with and against each other.
I agree people who say LeBron only likes to create super teams are stupid because whenever he leaves those teams they just get worse and can't even compete for a championship. Lebron does not create super teams, he's a super player.
@@Hunter-uq5fh facts lol lebron could’ve went to any team in 2010 other than miami and it would’ve been unfair
@@thedon5367 whats worse, they talk about loyalty as if lebron was the first one to leave a team ever. Meanwhile they clearly couldnt put players around him and clearly werent in any position to do so. The man gets hate for leaving a dumpster fire situation. I will admit rhe decision was incredibly lame and dumb but eh. I got over it 🤣
Bro thank you for this
@@ParamoreFAV3 anytime, I love basketball as a whole and grew up watching these two. People just try to project their hate on to these players. Kobe was mad happy that Bron went to LA and said he was family. He was the first one to congratulate him when Bron passed Kobe for all-time points scored. (That was actually his last ever social media post was celebrating Bron). Bron has always said how much of a fan of Kobe he was. People are silly but real basketball fans understand the truth
I wish LeBron got to play for Pop… cause the way Coach Pop rides for LeBron and never played for him? Utmost respect ✊🏾
I’ve always wanted him to play for Pop. That would have been amazing! Unlike the other legends, Bron has never played for a legendary coach.
What If he was drafted to the Spurs….GEEZUZ 🔥
The Lay for Pop through me off..
But I got chu..
He never played for pops.
@@d.balbas6952 lol appreciate you catching that, cause I confused myself when I read it over again 😂
@@themaadtitan9940 Or LeBron could have gone to the Spurs instead of the Heat the first time around. Lord have mercy on the rest of the NBA....
I like how kd said lbj been that guy for him since he was a kid and they still rivals , EPIC AF!
Even having heard so many of these stories being a big LeBron fan, I never get sick of hearing his greatness through the lens of other players
True. When the hate campaign stop I'll get tired of hearing it.
Goat
My favorite part was when Bosh was talking about the guys Bron could kick the ball out to, he didn’t mention Battier and you used a clip of Battier hitting a kick out three almost as a reminder to everyone. Quality content. Please never change your approach.
I need part three. Honestly this series made me see Lebron in a whole different light. It's inspiring to see someone so dedicated to understanding the nuances of their craft. I look forward to one day having a conversation with him, when my time comes.
People watched the last dance and declared MJ goat! Wait until lebron's! It'll be crazy
@@nanagyan1151 lebron's documentary is going to be crazy. The man is probably going to have about 25 seasons of highlights before it's all said and done. They're gonna need to make that a 6 part series each atleast an hour and a half long per episode.
You're a really good content creator almost documentary maker. You should consider getting into the documentary game you have talent.
I’d imagine it’s similar on the research and time commitment basis (subject dependent obviously). Highly agree with your comment.
Definitely
100%. I was thinking the same thing. Glad somebody said it.
FACTS!!!
Cuts off abruptly at the end though
Watching several TV's and playing cards at the same time and knowing and understanding what's going on in each game that's going on, is insane.
And the fact that he remembers each and every thing that goes on is also crazy. He has a photographic memory. I bonafide photographic memory.
he is just one of them Lab babies like Melo said
@@damnbruh6246 Melo said that
When LeBron was doing his Kobe Bryant impersonation right in front of him that was the funniest!!😂😂
LeBron Tapped into 100% to help make that comeback in 2016. And then again when he averaged that Triple double in the finals. And the last time I remember is game 6 of the ECF against the celtics.
2018 playoffs he was 95 percent too if it wasnt for JR smith and george hill we may have had the best finals performance and playoffs performance (which already is maybe the best he did in 2018 that run he saved his team every round by hitting game winners) in nba history if they won game 1 (cavs) who knows what could have happened.
I will never stop loving the Kobe and Bron friendship.
Idk if it’s just me but watching Kobe and bron at the end brought a tear to my eye man, such a good video props to you Nick
I shed a tear as well. Great video
Y''all, they way this ended with Kobe talking about Bron hit me hard. Still hurts knowng Mamba isn't here anymore. Last parts of the video almost made a grown man cry!
I appreciate you blessing us with part 2 so quick, I always say that Bron might actually be playing chess in his head. The way that Bron has centered his offense by attacking the help defense. He's strong enough to power through any defender one on one. But the way he's able to read the help defense to almost always make the right pass is what separates him from other scorers. His scoring is opened up by his passing.
Can't wait for part 3.
Hate him or love him. We still Witnessed.
I’m fully confident LeBron will go down as the greatest basketball player of the 21st century. We have 78 years to go, but nobody will touch this man.
why speculate in something like that, what pleasure does that give you? its completely meaningless?

No better basketball player ever than the Miami LeBron
2018 Lebron
Wilt in '62 and '67?
He was good, but have you not heard of Jordan?
@@baclava69 better career than lebron not a better player everyone knows this
@@lordazzeater8051 respectfully I disagree, James plays in an extremely soft league comparatively, not taking away from his achievements at all.
Now imagine Michael's dominance in this league.
It's night and day imho.
My fav part is when he's talking about the turnovers he puts the blame on himself knowing it wasn't his fault!.🐐
kobe and bron leading team usa will forever be my favorite part of this
Going back, I absolutely love Bron's "fuck you" attitude. Especially in Miami. He KNEW he owned the NBA back then and didn't care if everyone knew it.

Another good video. I'm not sure if you have one yet but KOBE BRYANT would be a great 4 part series but his stuff is unlimited.
love the work you do.
Much appreciated
I love the Tim Duncan clips. As a Heat fan, they were undoubtedly the biggest rival we had in those big 3 days. They were just a better overall team who might’ve been boring to watch but Timmy gave us the hardest run for our championship. I love LeBron and hes my favorite player of all time, but Tim Duncan will always in my opinion be the best overall PF of all time I have insane respect for him and the Spurs.

Awesome bro do 2 for Duncan and yes a part 3 for lbj ,also Kobe bean Bryant once again
Great content!
and Bron is still putting up numbers and having a pretty good year at age 37. He's no doubt passing Kareem
Remember that was 07 when Duncan said Lebron was the best player in the league. He was 22 Year 4. I know you guys are gonna say it was Kobe but that's not the point. Lebron got so good so fast his expectations grew even higher.
That shit crazy to think about

Cool series. Great idea.
Richardson CHANGED my mindset about him…. I never considered HIM as a Scorer BUT he just passed Kobe and Jordan (black Jesus) WTF 😳 😳😳😲😱😱🎯🎯😵💫. Great Video and Highlights 👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👏🏿👍
My dad was the proverbial "Mr. Basketball's #1 fan" - that WAS George Mikan; and my dad tracked down ever first and last bit of coverage of his that appeared. Then, I was ever so fortunate enuf to attend a series of Harlem Globetrotters' games the year that had that incredible "point guard" - what was his name; oh yeah, Wilt. i "followed" Wilt into the NBA and have been a "rabid" NBA ever since (62 years and counting).
Having been born "half-boy, half-computer" (a math whiz - no credit to me, that's my parents' "fault"), I immediately started making All-Time rankings for the NBL-NBA (and eventually ABA). The #1 criteria (for my GOAT list) has always been the All-NBA (/NBL/ABA) First-Team regular season selections (2nd-Tm and 3rd-Team counting for less naturally). I've always felt that those selections were as close to a spot-on reflection of guys' careers as exists.
In my GOAT rankings, for each successive set of five placings, I have ONE player from each position. I've got: #1 LBJ, #2 KAJ, #3 MJ, #4 Magic, #5 TD, #6 Wilt, #7 Kobe, #8 Dr J (including his ABA years),#9 Big "O", #10 K.Malone, #11 Shaq, #12 Jerry West, #13 L.Bird, #14 Stockton, #15 Bob Pettit, #16 Bill Russell.
Except for Pettit (2nd half only) and Russell (all but first 2-3 years), I witnessed the entire careers of all of these guys.
Interesting criteria you use. I look at the player's total offensive game plus their total defensive game. I rate those two equally. My GOAT rankings are #1 Chamberlain, #2 LBJ, #3 MJ, #4 KAJ, #5 Bird, #6 Russell, #7 Malone, #8 Big O, #9 West, #10 Kobe, #12 Magic, #13 Olajuwon, #14 Shaq, #15 Dr. J, #16 Stockton, #17 Petit. Different criteria, different results.
My hardest part is comparing the player's peak versus their whole career. Bird's peak was equal to Lebron's I'd say, but injuries limited him after about 7 years in the league. KAJ's peak was almost equal to Chamberlain's, but he continued for 20 years while Chamberlain retired after 14. I think people underestimate the value of defense and rebounds, so my ratings try to take those into account.
Unlike many, I don't care about NBA championships. I consider that a team achievement, reflecting the GM, coach, and supporting players, as well as the competition they faced.
1. Lebron 2. MJ . 3 . Kareem 4 . Magic 5. Kobe
These men have reached untouchable status positions with the legacy they’ve layed down .
@@soulzy3596 Given that your GOAT Top 5 are all in my GOAT Top 7, our lists are quite similar. Please permit me to ask a you a question or three. 1) Do you use any particular criteria to establish "untouchable status" for these guys? 2) I rank TD and Wilt just above Kobe; for you do the careers of these two additional greats FAIL (in some way) to reach "untouchable status"?
@@AndyZach First, a bit more about my main criteria: Essentially, I am comparing, by position (first of all) each player's number of "Great Years". The reason I use the "All-NBA Teams" criteria is because the people who vote(d) each year are in the BEST position (most qualified) to judge each player's (relative) level of play each Reg. Season - AND, because there are so many voters, their sheer numbers basically cancel out any individual-voter biases - and, reviewing their collective annual voting, it amazes me how closely that comes to how I saw that season too. (And, imo, THEIR-collective voting definitely trumps in quality the MVP voting results (how the heck could the MVP-voters have ranked Russ over Wilt for the 1962 Reg. Season - as a prime example - there are a few other glaring ones too).
Secondly, comparing my GOAT list with yours, the two lists are relatively quite close to each other. Given that, please assume that my questions to you that follow are the opposite of attacks. 1) By "Malone" do you mean Moses or Karl? 2) You don't have TD in your GOAT Top 17?? (or did you just forget to list him here when you posted your reply to me? 3) Assuming your "Malone" IS Moses, in your GOAT list, you've got CENTERS as: #1, 3 of the top 7 and 5 of the top 14 - have you considered that your ranking system MIGHT be giving undo precedence to centers?
Lastly, as to your "... I don't care about NBA Championships ..." - I MOSTLY agree with you here. In my case, I take the WHOLE of each player's annual PLAY-OFF (not just Championship) performance as a secondary consideration - it was on this basis that, for example, I jumped MJ over Kobe (because I consider MJ's play-off performances so much greater than Kobe's (though his were great!) that MJ "overcomes" Kobe's advantage in the number of Reg. Season "Great Years" each had.
@@teddy1234599 Thanks for the details. Very cool. I hadn't heard of using 'great years' before. That partially resolves my conflict between evaluating a player at his peak and over his career.
Regarding 'Malone' I meant Karl, the #3 all time scorer. I forgot Tim Duncan. I didn't even notice TD in your list. He'd be next to Malone. I don't care if you put him ahead or behind him. Karl was better offensively and Tim defensively.
I don't limit my list by position as you do. Best is best whether centers or guards or forwards. I ask myself: Would this team be better with player A instead of B? This is where the defensive impact comes in and rebounding. Big men naturally have an advantage there.
Awesome. Thank you for the copailations
These videos are stupidly underrated bro
The Kobe and bron friendship part at the end hurt
LeBron’s 2013 game 7 vs spurs was one of the most legendary of all time. That’s when his Jumpshot had officially arrived. Spurs were going under picks, daring him to shoot and he went through game 7 and scored almost every bucket on jump shots then hit the elbow dagger jumper over Kawhi to seal the dub. That game showed how much he grew and worked on his game from 07
Tim Duncan the best PF of all time literally said LeBron gave them a championship…🙆🏽♂️
Awesome compilation! Part 1 was great, I'm watching part 2 with great expectations
This is a great series.
For some reason, after watching both videos so far, Popp's complement about him not caring what the media said seems like the ultimate complement coming from Coach Pop.
