If a Miles Morales game could be successful then why not a Damien Wayne game ?
At the time when development started Damien Wayne was hated by DC fans so they eventually scrapped it (though I thought mo treal was making it from the start and rocksteady was doing a superman game first)
Because Damien Wayne is by far the WORST addition to Batman’s lore, he’s a terrible character and the entire conception of his existence is a insult to anyone who doesn’t have a chip on their shoulder.
Miles is character is leagues if not eons above that of Damien

A father-son dynamic has the potential to be a masterpiece if written well. Assassin's Creed III is an example. God of war is another.

Rocksteady seriously thought that a game about a bunch of secondary villains and dorks killing all of our favorite characters like Superman, the flash, and even ARKAM BATMAN would be better than a Batman Beyond game with Damian Wayne that takes place after Arkham knight like WTF was going on at rocksteady studios
I knew they swapped projects! Montreal was gonna do the suicidal Squad game and rocksteady was gonna do Gotham knights. Didn’t not know it was a Damion Wayne game.
Rocksteady doing Gotham Knights would have been a way better idea than them doing Suicide Squad

@@GB1510-ytIt's not said yet. It's teased. It's only season 1 in game. But for example the flash had a finger cut off and later on it's back, brainiac modified them so they can regenerate is the theory (and leaked voice lines do mention regeneration)
It's still possible for rocksteady or WB to just turn around and say "hey so change of plans ssktjl ain't canon and going forward another game will be taken as the new canon" It has happened before in other media like Ben 10 race against time

It’s Damien instead of Terry, so I’m curious of the difference on storyline.
@@TheMandaloreFettif they included the events of Lazarus island and the death of Alfred as history lore in the setting then they could have used that as the catalyst for Damien to change for the character development of him gaining the empathy he did but also the drive to fight for Gotham in honour of him. Not to mention it could serve as the reason for why bruce passes along the mantle knowing that he can't go forever and takes up the role Alfred used to have knowing that the next batman is going to need an "Alfred" of their own so to speak. Throw in a character development arc for Damien of his struggling to be the brutal batman his father has become and a scene where he has the chance to kill an older bane for killing Alfred but instead takes away the last of his venom. After that have Bruce realise that he has to trust Damien to make his own way with flashbacks to Alfred doing the same for him so Bruce gives the player a new fresh badass suit to accompany the new resolve that Damien has about what kinda batman he is going to be as he races of to track the big bad.
Josh Keaton was going to voice Damian and he said in a stream after the cancellation that it was going to be a seperate thing from the Arkhamverse and not made by Rocksteady.
The game was scrapped and turned into Gotham Knights with some ideas being used there.

They could have also used Terry if they feared a backlash due to the hatred towards Damian, and you keep your father-son dynamic in the game.
Heck, you could even keep Damian as part of the plot, with him taking hold of the League of Assassins, and come somewhere in the story for revenge towards Bruce for killing his grandfather and mother, and also towards Terry replacing him.
There's many many ways to circumvent the problems, but ultimately, you won't know if you don't try.
