I've sent dozens of copystrikes against channels uploading my videos without re-editing or adding commentary. I agree that it would be great to have an intermediary step that's more assertive than contacting uploaders individually but not as aggressive as immediately deleting the video. Some people don't understand copyright and would be nice to give them an official warning without having to jump right to a copystrike.

I’m impressed to learn that there are no repercussions at all for the “strikers”. You would think that CZcams would at least attempt to limit the strikes that they can submit.
CZcams needs to hire another department to sit down and review the videos to see if they do in fact fall under fair use or not, and when you dispute a claim, CZcams should have the final say in the matter if the claimant says no.

There should be repercussions for false Copyright strikes, to act as a deterrent to the company or person claiming the video. Make them think twice before making a claim.
Then a third party should review the claim to verify whether or not its fair use.
Exactly. I feel like the examples listed in this video are being extremely greedy. If CZcams doesn't implement some sort of control over false claims/strikes, the entire site will likely crumble and die off.

They should add some reverse of copyright striking, like, if you copyright strike someone and you failed, you will basically get an offense and more of those will get your CZcams channel deleted.
@Len Frantora -- Exactly! It's the least CZcams could do seeing as these claims are submitted under penalty of perjury. The site is required by the Safe Haven rules of the DMCA to automatically comply with takedowns so this could encourage abuse and endanger the community. If the channels get terminated it would at least be limited to "sniper/burner channels" but no. I guess they're okay with the risk of driving content creators off the platform. _They'll always have Will Smith on speed dial._

The last I heard, no one ever put a strike through in court. You can't fail a strike on CZcams, because it :has: to go to court at a certain point. You can either pursue it to court or let it go. So, over time, the CZcamsr always has the upper hand unless the petitioner has a lawyer on retainer and a lot of time on their hands. In the MEANTIME, though, any Dmca compliant website will take the content down until the issue is resolved in court or no longer pursued by the 'striker'. They give like a month or two month deadline

These "youtubers" really need to step down the platform. They serve no purpose in our lives. They're greedy, petty, rude and immature. Assume they do the same thing in real life when you meet them. These are the type of people you probably see/meet and suddenly have a hunch of bad vibes/negativity surrounding them. They arent true to themselves. Not spreading hate but its true from what I've been watching on youtube. Nothing is raw and there aren't a lot of people who are as genuine as Felix. It's even worse than that Felix, I had one of my songs copy-striked by someone who doesn't exist, a person filed under a fake name and someone elses email and my video was taken down for 2 months, it sucked because that song had just been tweeted out by a very popular figure and then the video was taken down, so I lost all that traffic, which is fine it is what it is but I just felt powerless.

I think a big problem is people not being able to take criticism and in this age of censorship, it's almost always a "my way or the highway" ideology. And that restricts the community in a negative way. In the end, the copyright abuse needs to stop.
