Thousands of US Marines and Navy Troops Arrive in Subic Bay, Philippines
U.S. Marines with 1st Marine Aircraft Wing and 3rd Marine Division arrive in a Boeing 777 to participate in Balikatan 23 at the Subic Bay International Airport, Philippines, April 8, 2023. Balikatan is an annual exercise between the Armed Forces of the Philippines and U.S. military designed to strengthen bilateral interoperability, capabilities, trust, and cooperation built over decades of shared experiences.
