- Jackson Browne & David Lindley played live on June 15th 2010 at the beautiful Freilichtbuehne Stadtpark Hamburg.
Before he and his band entered the stage for a full electric set, Jackson Browne joined David Lindley for a few cover songs. This one was written by The Boss Bruce Springsteen and was featured on his compilation "Tracks". - Hudba
When my child marriage was falling apart and I realized that I hated my business degree,I heard The Pretender. I'm 67 now and my life was never the same.Honesty is hard on a liar
My heart goes out to David's family, friends, fans, and Jackson. I know he must be feeling the loss of family right now. Musically they just fit like a glove, these two could fill a room with such beautiful music. David has so many fans, going way back. He had a style like no other. Sad times these days.
I know it.....the vet situation in NYC..is horrible and the song is also....he wasted his time.........
Beautiful, just perfect !
RIP David Lindley - one of the best to ever do it
There ya go! Jackson and my Magical Musical Munchkin! Thank you so much Mrs. Lindley.
Man, these two are legends, going back to "for everything man".
David Lindley and his backup guitarist and singer are making some absolutely beautiful sounds here. Wow!!!!
♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡♡
For those of us who wondered back in the 70s why Browne had such smokin' hot slide breaks....😀
Lol Jackson Browne is a bit more than a backing guitarist- besides that you’re right
Saw them do this song in Milwaukee back in Sept. 2010. Being younger, I never heard the song before. Loved it, very well done! It stood out during that show...
Synchronicity....two makes one. All those years spent together on and off stage really show here. Beautiful version of this song....just awesome..
OMG I LOVE THESE TWO MEN!!!
...speechless, this song and performance is just so inspiring
It is
Saw Lindley do this at McCabes guitar shop in LA. ‘07. Stunning

Ist das Schööööön 💞🌠🎄✴❣
These guys should record this song a put it on an album. They do it better than The Boss. A beautiful musical transition here. David Lindley is the most underrated guitar player in the world..........Pure genius, a road that twists turns and leaves you breathless when you least expect it too. Jackson Browne has never sounded better.
Nice Audio. Glad I was there ;) 350 Miles...
god a mighty.....thanks
@BradVan2008 "David Lindley is the most underrated guitar player in the world." Not by me!
The guy's a genius.
Yes
And not by me,too, love him so much
just like peas & carrots......♥
@QueenBeatlesWings you're right and JB has been friends with Bruce forever also who wrote this song. JB and David Lindley always good and, yes, they do this well - spoken from a Bruce fanatic!
I’d never heard this song before seeing them play it at a concert I attended. I love this. That said, I think Bruce’s dirge-like interpretation of the song fits better than this skillful but more folkie, twangy rendition. I’m grateful for the light Jackson and David cast on this gem. Btw, Cowboy Junkies also have an interesting cover of this song.
@chris10702090 Or me. I've always placed him in the top three best guitarists out there. I've had the pleasure of seeing him 13 times, 9 of those with Jackson.
El Rayo X !
That backup guitarist you are referring to is Jackson Browne!!!!
:)
I'm thinking someone mistakenly clicked on thumbs down...
@VfBine
Hallo Sabine,
was ist eigentlich aus dem Audio-Mitschnitt geworden? Melde Dich doch mal!
Nope, whilst this is enjoyable, the boss does it better.
Great song!
NO David Lindley owns this song even though the Boss wrote it
Who is the boss and who would be silly enough to call themselves a derogatory term like that? "Meet the new boss, same as the old boss." The Who.
Why must you comment if you don't have anything nice to say? This is great stuff, from two legendary players. No one is impressed by your "impeccable taste".
