My son played this song on the alter in honor of his father, my husband, after he saw his dad die in my arms in the middle of the night. My son was in 8th grade at the time. We talk and see each other a lot since he only lives 10 minutes away from me. Within the last 18 months, he told me he got his first tattoo. The tattoo is on the inside of his wrist and they are the musical notes to “take these broken wings and learn to fly !!” He is now 31 years old and a music manager and teacher in a private studio and was VERY close to his father. I am sooo proud of him for pulling through the wreckage of his past.

when I was a child in elementary school,I was in a choir,and our principal took us kids to restauarants at night and we sang gospel songs to the people there. I remember the applause when we would harmonize .Harmonizing sound opens folks hearts up. I remember the look in their eyes when we hit the notes perfectly and harmonized. It’s magic in my opinion.Thanks CSN.
there is something so truthful, pure and peaceful about those three great men. It's so simple and yet so deep and beautiful. They are just some old friends who have been through some crazy times and just love singing together. It's like they're becoming one soul when they sing. Man, this is really moving. I will never lose my sadness over being born in the wrong generation.
