That song and the lush greeneries of the Austrian mountains brings back wonderful memories of one of my favorite Julie Andrew movies( saw it 25 times). Btw, Gentri did an excellent rendition of it too.

This is absolutely beautiful! My family is originally from a small country right in-between Austria and Switzerland. My great great grandma had an Edelweiss flower my Grandpa picked for her in her Bible!

My husband and I were just in the Alps of Austria. We saw field after field of Edelweiss. It was amazing. And as I watch this, the images bring back the memories of what it is like to be up in the high alps at a Gasthaus. The mountains are full of them and they are the way to experience the Alps. There are trails all over the mountains. And you found the top of the mountain that was featured in the end scene of the Sound of Music! Where is it?

Not one for a group of guys singing Edelweiss from my first though but they are really good
This group is on the mountain where at the end of the film the von Trapp family made their way to safety yes I'm sure it's the actual mountain.
Having relatives in Austria and Germany, they all agree, while beautiful voices, you seem to rush this beloved, slow, heart felt, piece of folk music. 😢
I cover and sang this with my daughter.. the song that my father used to sing now became the song of his grandchildren.. ❤️

Ohhhhh you don't know what you just did to my soul! You sing so beautifully, and this song brings back such memories of my childhood, which was a long time ago. My parents had these friends, another married couple who were Godparents to one of my siblings, and whenever they came over for dinner or a visit, they asked me to sing Edelweiss. Let me assure you, you sang it much much much better! The location is fitting, and Queen Anne's Lace is a good stand-in for true Edelweiss. I love "The Sound of Music", and this song is so underlooked---but not now! You have shone the light on it again, beautifully! Thank you.

its 0130 in the morning where im at, could not sleep, ptsd, so i turned on youtube and you guys pop up on it, i started to whatch, click and whatch, i woke my wife up, we listen, saw, the amazing things you have done for the child and others, we have fell for your music, wow, you guys are just great, and little secret, by listen to you guys, i got into a calm state i think i can sleep for a good 8 hours, thankyou, and going run out in the morning look for a cd, again thankyou.

when i first heard this song, i was only five or six years old. now im seventeen, but "edelweiss" never failed to bring out my longing for the flowery mountainsides and pastoral life in the rural. your rendition of this song is amazing and I love it very much. the magic of the song lies still here and more.
