My dad died from dementia in February2020. He he couldn't tell me what my name was. But I could put this song on, and he would perk up and sing every word of this song, and tell me the names of every member of this band. What an evil illness dementia is. I'd sacrifice 10 of my years to have one good week with my dad again. 😪

I remember listening to this in the back seat of my high-school buddy's 1972 Cuda. This song... the sound moved around the car. Or maybe I was high at the time. Miss those days.
The Guess Who is badass...Almost 35 and I've been listening to them my whole life pretty much...Thanks Dad, your taste in music rubbed off on me at an early age.
Very underrated band. These guys were way beyond their time. There music is perfection to the point of rock and roll fame and why are they not in the rock and roll hall of fame is beyond me. Talent at it's finest back in the 70's. You guys are in my hall of fame for sure.

A senior in high school...at lunch in the cafeteria...science teacher enters as this song is playing...she hears the song and moves to the beat in a knowing way...an image I will never forget...a transcendental song for sure...a classic for sure, thanks for the memories guys!
No decent band should be in the RRHOF! It is an oxymoron. Rock and Roll is anti-establishment, but the HoF is 100% establishment. And seeing that they feel it is important to put in hip hop and other non-rock genres, real rock music doesn't belong there.
My 1979 Cadillac coupé de ville that i drove in the 90s had the license plate NUMTHRN8R on it. The elders and the cops in my town loved it. I got pulled over a few times by the old time cops just to talk about the car and music of the guess who. Great times 👍
Man, I remember listening to this on K-Rock NY as a kid in the 80's. In my Queens neighborhood I was an outcast for listening to music like this instead of rap. An outcast still.😎
My dad introduced me to this song when I was little & years later im still listening. Such a classic! I was lucky my folks introduced me to the greats & I was lucky enough to grow up during the 90’s & early 00’s so I had amazing music to listen to all the time between the classics & the 90’s & early 00’s.

I was born in 1967 so I didn't discover this song until I was in my 20s, way before my time and certainly not my generation. but how anyone anywhere can not see it as genius is simply beyond me. and blending the 2 verses to create one new chorus at the end is nothing short of inspired
Born in 67 too but had an older sister born in 59. I played her records and jumped on her bed. Just loved the Guess Who from when I was about 5 years old!

When I was 18 I was in a punk band. I didn't know that my drummer and I had been listening to the Guess Who. I thought "This might be the best band ever"... one day my drummer and I were talking and he said "The Guess Who might be the best ever" .... i'll never forget this day.
69. Been listening to these guys since "Shaking All Over" and "These Eyes". Growing up just inside the US border didn't hurt. Most of my radio listening to were Canadian stations
I grew up listening to all genres of music and learned over the years that if you listen real closely, and yes, you might have to a few times to understand the message that is being sent through the lyrics of the song. And if you get the message and understand it then you can learn to appreciate it. I always tell my kids that music is much more than somebody writing words on paper and coming from someone's mouth. It's also gotta have the right sound to go along with it to make sense. I think songs from the 50's through the 70's were the best of their time. 80's,90's awesome,2000- present gets even better . Sorry for the long reply, but I enjoy music and I get in a good mood when I hear songs that still get played even to this day. 😎 Rock on

My 1979 Cadillac coupé de ville that i drove in the 90s had the license plate NUMTHRN8R on it. The elders and the cops in my town loved it. I got pulled over a few times by the old time cops just to talk about the car and music of the guess who. Great times 👍
Nobody asked me, but if they did...No Sugar Tonight/New Mother Nature belongs in the Top Ten Classic Rock songs of all time.
"New mother nature taking over......she's getting us all"
Man, I remember listening to this on K-Rock NY as a kid in the 80's.
"A bag of goodies and a bottle of wine, we're gonna get it on right tonight!!!"

My mom bought me this album when I turned 11 she thought it was the who and I had to explain guess who still confuses her
Subtle drug reference
@@jonkessel1649 When I was around 13 my Mom and I went to Kmart. I bought a Guess Who album and back in the car my Mom asked what did I buy? I told her a album she says by who? I said The Guess Who, she says annoyed I don't know....who?
My bag of goodies would be very different now that I'm old. And the wine would be peptol bismul
I'm in my 40s and can say I love this music. Saw the Guess Who back years ago at the Festival Tent in Rochester New York. Total legends!
I am so jelly dude!!!!
What? I'm in Rochester, how did I not know?!? 😩
I wasn't aware of the Guess Who playing Rochester, NY
Where did you see them, was it at the lilac festival?
It was at the Festival Tent back around 96. They had alot of good shows there. It sucks they stopped doing them.
42 years old and listening!
I was born in 1967 so I didn't discover this song until I was in my 20s, way before my time and certainly not my generation. but how anyone anywhere can not see it as genius is simply beyond me. and blending the 2 verses to create one new chorus at the end is nothing short of inspired
It's like two songs in one. Brilliant!
Ditto. I was born in '65.
Born in 67 too but had an older sister born in 59. I played her records and jumped on her bed. Just loved the Guess Who from when I was about 5 years old!
This is the last song I remember listening to with my bro as he helped me work on my Honda 50 trail bike just before he left for the Army, RIP bro and thanks for the memories my end date is close so be seeing you soon!! RANGERS LEAD THE WAY.
SPC-Lee a Benson 11B U.S. Army (RET.)
Thank you for your sacrifice! Special memories, really stick... certain things bring them back...music is definitely one of 'em!
Lee thank you for your service! You and your brothers and sisters serving our country is the reason for its greatness....
insurgency is action without words by the thyme I dye you will have whimpered murderously I swear to god my name shalt haunt you for eternity
my sacrifice was for my church not the United states let's get that clear right here right now
My name is Loni...Lee Benson...Sorry about your brother.
Your bro. can here you & he can "listen to the music" with you, in spirit..✌😇
Just a beautiful & simple classic that will survive the Ages of Rock'n'Roll!!!
😘👌
I was also in my Twentys and am now 71 also.. 1952 was a good year to be born.
Great driving song. Top down, wind and sun at your back and the beach is on the horizon. I can smell that salty air with a bag of goodies and a bottle of wine in my beach bag. She's getting us all.
Vastly underrated band, particularly Burton Cummings. What a voice!
We were driving when this song came on the radio My 9 yr old Son asked Who is this? I say Guessc Who. He I don't know who I say The Guess Who he said I don't know!!!!!!! If I knew I wouldn't ask you! I say Son the band's name is The Guess Who!!! Lmao I love these guys!!!
Same story here and kid about it 40+ years later. 😃
That is cool what you said to him guess who that was cool
The Guess Who never got the recognition they deserved. The were an amazingly talented band with some really terrific hits.
Lonely feeling deep inside
Find a corner where I can hide
Silent footsteps crowding me
Sudden darkness but I can see
No sugar tonight in my coffee
No sugar tonight in my tea
No sugar to stand beside me
No sugar to run with me
In the silence of her mind
Quiet movements where I can find
Grabbing for me with her eyes
Now I'm falling from her skies
No sugar tonight in my coffee
No sugar tonight in my tea
No sugar to stand beside me
No sugar to run with me
Jocko says yes, and I believe him
When we talk about the things I say
She hasn't got the faith or the guts to leave him
When they're standing in each other's way
You're tripping back now to places you've been to
You wonder what you're gonna find
You know you've been wrong but it won't be long
Before you leave 'em all far behind
'Cause it's the new Mother Nature taking over
It's the new splendid lady come to call
It's the new Mother Nature taking over
She's gettin' us all
She's gettin' us all
Jocko said no, when I came back last time
It's looking like I lost a friend
No use callin' 'cause the sky is fallin'
And I'm getting pretty near the end
A smoke-filled room in a corner basement
The situation must be right
A bag of goodies and a bottle of wine
We're gonna get it on right tonight
'Cause it's the new Mother Nature taking over
It's the new splendid lady come to call
It's the new Mother Nature taking over
She's gettin' us all

Seriously, I’ve told my kids, since they were little babies that this was the best song ever created in the history of music! Crazy that I just came across this randomly! Brings me back to the moment I first heard it. I remember it like it just happened a moment ago. Thank you!!!!
I am 74 and got one of the first Albums in 1969. Love them and always will!
The Guess Who were a marvel of the 60s!!! So many amazing amazing tunes!!! Never get tired of listening!!
Such an underrated classic on many levels, and this song is before my time.
Back in the 80s as a teen, I seemed to gravitate towards tunes with heavy drums THUMP'N, & this tune has this in spades!
Such an underrated band...
Omg! Sugar every nite! But not in my coffee!! 💃🎸❤
When I was 18 I was in a punk band. I didn't know that my drummer and I had been listening to the Guess Who. I thought "This might be the best band ever"... one day my drummer and I were talking and he said "The Guess Who might be the best ever" .... i'll never forget this day.
One of the great songs that got me hooked on classic rock.
Play the song Never Been to Spain
Ok
Jocco says yes and I believe him

From when I was young, Guess Who was 1 of my favorite groups
69. Been listening to these guys since "Shaking All Over" and "These Eyes". Growing up just inside the US border didn't hurt. Most of my radio listening to were Canadian stations
2023 and this is still top 10 played songs
I'll stay with the seventies till the day I die and it don't get no better
70's girl still lookin' for 70's boy to rock steady...lol!
I'll be there, rockin' next to ya! always better together!
I agree
So true
Me me me too!!!!! ( Marcelle Barth)
😎 Rock on
I was listening to this song in 1970 when I was a sophomore in high school. Still listening in 2021.
My best friend in Louisiana has a brother absolutely addicted to these guys .he's had some fast cars & is just a throwback...kinda dude that will take off in a 68 Camaro blown through the roof & go on a 2 hr ride blasting..😂
I’m quite sure our generation had the best music! Love The Guess Who and so many more from late 60’s and early 70’s!
I was 2yrs old when this came out..Never thought 49yrs later I'd be rocking out to this. Canadian East Coaster throwing some respect out to Winnipeg, Manitoba. 👍🍻
I’m almost 70 years old and struggle to remember my phone number at times but know the words to almost every classic rock song written from 1965 to 1980. Go figure!
There's no music today anywhere as good as the 70's
Another excellent track by the prolific Canadian band the Guess Who
Great baseline and percussion. Props to the engineers on that stereo separation.
I am 69 yrs old and this is STILL my favorite band...
Grew up in the 70's listening to the Guess Who. Transistor radio strapped on my bicycle listening to ROCK 99 from Springfield, MO riding the country roads where I lived jamming out! What I'd give to go back.
