Henk is a Dutch treasure. Off stage he's so normal, he could've been your uncle. But on stage he blows everyone away.
This show Beste Zangers (best singers) had tried for years to get Floor on the show. She only did it this time because she has a crush on Henk Poort. He was the original Dutch Phantom of the Opera. Floor saw him as a teen and fell in love with him. Henk only agreed to sing Phantom of the Opera with her if he could do it again later with Nightwish. Another channel ran tests on Henk's vibrato and it is always a perfect half step. ALWAYS!

The Phantom nailed it. out of his comfortzone and still kickin' ass. Henk is one of the biggest opera singers from the Netherlands.

Henk perfoming for Floor is amazing, but also his take on the other Zangers of this show. Hope you do Emma Heesters too. Her performence of Floor's very personal song called "Strong' is outstanding and heartwrecking. But hey, glad you've take your time out's and doing other stuff. I'm sure it isn't easy and often stressful, but i believe it's very important and worthy. And i'm happy for your 60% sucsess on your Metal Festivals, that's gorgeous. I heard Henk say in an interview that he has been amazed by the way some of the metal community have accepted him and he now sees people in band tee-shirts at his shows. Not just shows with Floor but his own solo productions and he loves it.
I prefer Henk's version any other version, including the original, or Disturbed version. Henk's vocals were made for this, and he owns this song now in my books. Great reaction . Look forward to more. Perhaps you'd also like to react to the duet Henk preforms with Emma Heesters, on this same Beste Zangers show. She is the young lady Floor sang Shallow to. The song they sing to is "Vivo Per Lei", and it absolutely beautiful. You'll love it for sure.
Ome Henk!!!! (Uncle Henk) He's such a good vocalist, an opera man doing this and embracing it. He's so sweet, like Floor.

Sorry for Simon & Garfunkel, but Disturbed truly owned it! To me, their version is still my favorite, with Henk's rendition as a (very) close second. Only in third place comes the original for me.
