Nah he did not get banned it was a glitch with the bandages the countdown timer disappeared and so the anti-cheat thought he was cheating

ur so lucky. i got banned for absolutely no reason, i was on console when i got banned and i got banned for “cheating”, i has that account from when i was 11 and i’m 17 now that’s 6 years of playing and over $8000 spent on it, had every battle pass from chapter 1 and half of battle passes from character 2 and i had galaxy skin, i literally bought a $1000 phone for a skin. i messaged epic and they basically said” well it sucks to be you we can’t do anything about it”.
Factory reset your pc. This just happend to me and now im factory resetting my pc.

The recent players that got banned either were using VPN or playing with actual cheaters (there was a warning message that went out a week prior, that if you continue to play with the suspected cheater you would also get banned).
I wish they just told us the name, "like abc123 is a a cheater, if you continue to play with them, you'll also get banned."

My son got perma-baned a few days again ago.
Thought this error message after a minute playing is so undetermined.
The one saying: ""You were removed from the match due to your IP, VPN, machine, or cheating. We recommend not utilizing VPN or proxy services while attempting to play Fortnite."
I am pretty sure he did nothing wrong intentionally.
He might have gotten mad, and said a few bad words.
I thought it was a problem with easy anti cheat, which I tried to reinstall, and then wasted a full day reinstalling windows and everything.
When the message appeared after a complete reinstall, I contacted support.
They first said, the message comes for a good reason.
It took me 3 tickets until they said it's a permanent ban.
Even when asking, they never shared the actual reason.
That is the most annoying , besides the vague error message.

I had same issues which I contacted support and nothing was done about it but I was told by a friend to reach out to a friend which I did and he helped me in fixing mine and it's working perfectly fine, I sure he gone help you as well🎉
