This and the Cadillac CTS are such cool cars and worth picking up if cheap. I had the same engine as this in my Merc C class years ago and got 46mpg on a long run.though it usually averaged around 37mpg

You are definitely not mad it's a lovely whip! 100%Agree no Bentley stickers etc it's not made by them. I first drove one before the arrived in the UK. I hired when I went on holiday to florida and on arriving the saw I was an over 6ft lump of a man and said I can upgrade to either the new Cadilac or the new Chrysler 300. I went for the 300 and Dam! It's was sharp and I always got a wheel screech on 1st and 2nd plus in the US it was so cheap on fuel ⛽️ I did 2000 miles in 2 weeks for less than $80 it had the 4 and 6 Cylinder driving economy technology so Miami and back was such a pleasure in the 300. To top it up it had the best standard fitted sound system I had ever heard and the bass 🔊 was in my face it's has a build in amplifier so hey it added so much fun to my first trip to the US. My third trip to the US was to LA so hey I couldn't resist hiring the 300 again and made it the Vegas. The best part of hiring a car in the US you bring it back with an empty tank. Great video and even though its and old car it's still a good fun standout beast worth experiencing.

As an owner of a Chrysler 300C Diesel Touring I can say that it is a very good car.
It gets you everywhere in comfort.
Of course there are better cars out there but the bang for the buck can't be beaten by a Mercedes or BMW.
The built quality is decent because the left hand drive diesel variant is built in Austria. Don't know where the UK cars left the assembly line.
I can go 1000 km on a tank of diesel and I never get tired.
Mine has already leather upholstery on the doors and on the center console.
Also I had 20 inch (20 Zoll) rims and tires on it but I changed back to the original 18 inch rims. It's far better because of the weigh of the car.
Well. I love the car and as ever old car you have to take care of it from now and then. BUT due to the Mercedes undercarriage they are easy to work on and you will find parts easy. Just take care that the major issues has already been done. Like the oil cooler seal, throttle body, sometimes the turbos and look out for rust. Also check the suspension.
AND be aware that driving through small parking garages sometimes can make you sweat 😂
    Enjoy your Chrysler 300C.

@@drakvaclav826 Hi there. Honestly speaking he ALWAYS gets me where I need to go.
Last year I did a round trip to Hamburg. I drove 2000 Kilometers and everything went smooth. Also did a vacation in the south of Italy. Although it was 35 degrees (Celsius) and I got stuck in traffic the car performed very good.
I just change the oil every 15.000/20.000 Kilometers (do it myself) and for the German TÜV (I think it's called MOT in English) I needed to change some parts of the undercarriage. This was done in a workshop because I don't have the tools.
Soon some stabilizer connections has to be changed but this again I'm gonna do it myself.
Be aware that due to the weight and depending on your style of driving, you might need more break components (rotors, blades). But this is for every bigger/heavier vehicle.
Also sometimes when I only have to drive a short distance I from now and then just drive around for some 20+ kilometers (taking the long way home) so that the big diesel can get warm and reach running temperature. It's cheaper to spend some gas from time to time than getting a stalled DPF or other issues due to short distance driving.
      Hope this helps.
Edit: Mine is an 2008 model year

Just found an article about when the manufacturing was set up in Austria in 2005. It states that they included right hand drive diesel. That suggests the original of the UK stock. You should be able to find it if you look for AUSTRIA: Magna Steyr builds first production Chrysler 300C.
