    MicroATX is really interesting in my opinion. Thanks to onboard audio, LAN and even WiFi one simply doesn't need so many PCI slots anymore. As soon as there is enough space for a proper GPU and a decent CPU cooler, I'm interested.
    This case also caught my sight on the web. Glad to see you checked it out en detail!

      MATX motherboards are always cheaper, too. One issue I've been running into is with the proliferation of 2.5 and 3 slot GPUs depending on the board size and PCIE slot positions sometimes you wont even get the one extra slot you might need for an addon card.

    The high airflow version of this case is the Deepcool Matrexx 40.
    They just swapped out the tempered glass & front panel but the chassis is the same.

    • @KitGuruJames
      @KitGuruJames Před 3 lety

      Yes, it is more or less the same, with slightly different front panel connectivity and missing the VGA support bracket. I'm not sold with the looks of the front panel on the Matrexx 40 though.

    Three questions:
    1. First time I'm seeing somebody who uses tape to put thermal paste. I like it! What type of tape did you use?
    2. How were you able to estimate the size of the square of your thermal paste that would be right size for the cpu?
    3. Does the tempered glass side have provisions for thumb screws at the back so it would be locked in?
    Thanks in advance

    Like the 3.5 inch drive bay. Can have one 3.5 inch drive and space on top of it for cable excess. No need for more than 1 3.5 inch drive with a ssd boot drive and scratch ssd drive on the MB. Can store all long time storage on DAS or NAS. Agree-front air panel would be a great addition.

  • @bellshooter
    @bellshooter Před 3 lety +2

    Good review! You allude to a smaller case, but this would make the installation of 280mm top and front difficult or impossible, which you say is already tight, you cannot have it both ways. If you want a small case the CoolerMaster Q300 is there but good luck with 280mm AIO installation there . Looks a pretty decent case, the odd chassis front holes is probably due to the base chassis being used in multiple cases.

    • @KitGuruJames
      @KitGuruJames Před 3 lety

      True, but I would be prepared to sacrifice top AIO installation for a smaller chassis and better front airflow.
      Don't get me wrong, I like the Macube 110 but feel that micro-ATX chassis of this size are a little pointless when you can get mid-tower cases that support ATX motherboards and are almost the same dimensions.

    Another great video and a fine looking finished build, but I hope you don't mind if I ask you a question. Why did you remove the heatsink from the MP600 and use the much smaller one supplied with the motherboard? Was it just for aesthetics or cpu cooler clearance? You're not the first CZcamsr I've seen do this which surprises me as the supplied heatsink works well (at least in my build) and, I think, looks pretty good too.

    • @KitGuruJames
      @KitGuruJames Před 3 lety +1

      I removed the MP600 heat sink simply for aesthetic reasons. If the system was being used daily, I would probably stick with the stock Corsair heat sink. Glad you enjoyed the review.

  • @ConfusedRaccoon
    @ConfusedRaccoon Před 3 lety

    I currently have a nzxt h210 which I'm thinking of replacing as I can't fit any of the new GPU's in it. They're either too thick or too long to fit with the 240 AIO I use. this is a case I'd not seen yet and seems to be not too much bigger (really trying to stay SFF'ish). I can't do the NR200/Dancase style boxes as they're too small for everything I need.
    If they'd push this price up by half again or even doubled it and added some more basic/premium features like decent filters, gromits, optional mesh front panel, rgb/fan controller that sort of jazz it would still be a decent contender.

  • @betara_indera_gunung_timur

    when you are reviewing a black/dark-colored stuff, casing, motherboards etc, please do it on a contrasting-colored table. i mean yeah, your table is white, but you ruin it by putting a mostly black mat. you wearing a black shirt just makes it worse. the shelves behind containing a lot of dark-colored boxes doesn't help either.
    might as well just review the case in the dark, honestly.
