Longstanding features such as Diamond Dynasty and Franchise Mode will of course return, but the Negro Leagues Storyline mode first introduced last year returns for its second season, and with its immersive retelling of important eras in the history of baseball its positioning itself as one of the most seminal features of the series.

@@aydenweiner3205 the old games will be there for you to play, it’s the exact same experience for what you can afford. Your inability to afford a new console shouldn’t hold tech advancements back especially since last gen has a pretty decent stockpile of newer games to play

Not at all. They are taking the EA 2K route of pay to play. The greedy suits are driving the game not the ground. It’s what billionaires do, destroy things.

They're actually pretty tame in comparison to other sports gaming companies but man do I wish they never took out the stub to increase player overall option. Now you get to only use it on equipment and the cpu doesn't factor that in rather or not to call you up. I heard rtts won't tie to DD anymore so that should be nice but overall what they have been talking about as changes has been pretty disappointing.

I’m still on 22, the old rosters and small graphic updates are the only thing that slightly bother me
I’ve enjoyed the show , madden , nba 2k since I was a kid but man are sports games such a scam nowadays , paying 60-70 bucks a year for roster updates that could just as easily be a free DLC . I thinks it’s been 10 years since there’s been any noticeable progression towards a more realistic presentation/ play by play. Zero creativity or will to make new mechanics or modes . And to top it off they’re as plagued with micro-transactions as any other game. I still like sports games enough to update every 3-5 years , but buying every year is crazy to me and of course just enables the greed and laziness of the publishers/developers

I went through so many pages to see if they even put an ounce of care into it and of course nada. I miss the days you could set the prices for things and so much more. Genuinely disappointed.

Ratings are as usual, awful. Aside from ratings, they still have Ohtani as a pitcher! Apparently you still have to fill in MLB lineups without a DH! They get away with all this crap because they have the only current baseball game for a PS5 and xbox. For franchise players, this is just a roster update.

@Shazta80 you must play on the hardest difficulty then and turn the hud off to make sure it's realistic. I assume you don't make anything crazy in the stadium creator either since it wouldn't be realistic, don't touch the create a franchise since those teams don't exist and it's not realistic.

I actually quit playing around that time and picked back up in 2019. Theres a definite difference. But these are the issues with games that release every year. Minimal differences. Unless you want to wait every 2-3 years. Im sure people will bitch then too.
One of their developers whos a male, almost cried because they added women to the game lol. They desperate for that high ESG score. I bought the GP bundel for 10$, the game looks pretty good

I bought it because I love this franchise and baseball in general but it is getting dated.....even 2k body movements are more fluid it's only a gripe of our time and how we've been spoiled with the capabilities our hardware....the hair movement look like ps4 graphics 😅

The atmosphere is incredibly boring, bot much arena music, chants or organ like real world stadium. This has been overlooked for years, and lends itself to be a bit of a boring and unreal experience, and I hope it gets some attention!

I have nothing against the game but for 2023 the cover athlete was not necessary. I have nothing against blacks But my brother and I looked up. His numbers and his numbers were not good at all and he was injured for quite a while during the year of 2022 and during the 2023 season he was on the disabled list.
Him being black has nothing to do with it. Usually if you have to mention that, then you DO have some underlying issue with 'blacks'

So, I got my copy of Baseball Prospectus, with scouting reports for over 2,000 players across all leagues, Majors and Minors, and there's not a single woman among them. If you're going to argue it's not unrealistic you're just trying too hard to be "progressive"
