    Peds must be hard, you have patients that are too young to describe their symptoms, all information relied upon is direct observation. Kudos to anyone who goes into this field of medicine!

    @capitolbass I'm sorry. I was just saying that they have extremely hard jobs and maybe their not as bad as you think. A lot of pediatricians save lives, and I thought we should show them some respect for that. I shouldn't have said it that way. Again, i'm sorry.

    2 years done, I have 6 to go. 4 years for Gen Prac, or 2 years for community health. A life science degree is a damn good degree.

    i have a question. how would a woman be able to have a child but be a pediatrician at the same time? would she have to take a year off? and if so would she have to redo the big test at the end of medical school?

    I agree, my husband is a physician. You gotta be tough to practice medicine.

    @Hellokittyfan808 hey since its been two years now since you wrote this comment, how's the studying going? I'm finishing my sophomore year of high school and thinking of later in my life to be a pediatrician. Any tips on what I could do now to fully decide if I want to choose this career?

    My mate hates it when I introduce him as a "pedo"
    I'll be fucked if I'm gonna try pronouncing paediatrician though.

    I want to be a pediatrician but I need to know a couple of things if someone will please answer my questions. 1. Do pediatricians give vaccines? 2. How long is their vacation time? 3. Could you be pregnant while still on the job? 4. Do you have enough time for family when you're a pediatrician? 5. Is it hard or a lot to handle?

  • @kungfuseadog
    @kungfuseadog Před 15 lety

    It won't.
    You will treat little scrapes and bruises and give vaccine shots. Nurse work. The kids would mostly be off just as fine without you. If you wanna impact lives as a doctor you should aim for working in a hospital. If you like kids, well pediatricians in hospitals do serious stuff too. You might consider doctors without borders too.

    Pediatricians are children's doctors. Therefore, teenagers should not see pediatricians, especially if they're 18 or older.
