I was able to hit the ice for the first time in my life yesterday, have to say it was fun! Well over 20 caught, mostly bluegill. Went out this morning and got my first bass through the ice. Now I just need to figure out how to catch all the northern like you do! Caught a ton of them before ice so I know they are there
That's awesome that you got on some fish! Good luck with the pike, tip ups are the way to go! Look for weed beds/edges

I just bought a few ifishpro tip ups myself, i'm curious as to what setting you'd generally use for walleye or smaller pike? I know the "manual" they give you references the specifics for each type of fish, but i've heard the manual isn't too reliable.
I always run it on the lightest of the three settings unless I'm using really big minnows. Ideally I don't want the fish to feel anything when they set the flag off
