    Would love to see you interview a bodybuilder who has a slow metabolism and what their diet looks like

      Very interested in this, I believe I may have made epigenetic changes to my metabolism from growing up obese and then chronically dieting for a long time during the remainder of my puberty. Or I’m just dumber than I think and cannot track my calories accurately

      @@majinbrah No you don't seem that dumb lol. it's certainly possible. Look into reverse dieting. Also Justin Harris might be a good person to talk to. He has some case studies of guys he took from 2000 cal maintainence to 4000+ cal maintainenance. Great progress by the way. Keep it up.

    Get Dr. Todd Lee on the podcast. He’s an IFBB pro who promotes the low test high mast/primo combo. And it would be interesting to challenge him on it

    Had the same issue with EQ have to run test 3-1 and estrogen stays perfectly in the middle

    And interesting about that metabolic thing you have going on when dieting Daniel. What video you tell more about that?

    • @DanielPekic
      @DanielPekic  Před 19 dny

      Thank you. In the past, when I consulted with Broderick and Lyle, we pondered why it occurs. Some people have extremely adaptive BMRs and this has even been noted in some papers where a few outliers simply would not gain any extra weight after a certain point. You should google it if you’re interested. Unfortunately, this does not occur for me when I diet down to get lean. The moment I approach 12% body fat, my physiology becomes quite normal whereby I need ~ 37 calories/kg to lose fat and ~ 40 calories per kg to maintain weight. That’s a mere 3600 calories at 90 kg. Nothing out of the ordinary. I am rarely 10% body fat, but should I need to be, my BMR is even slower. That said, when I am 100 kg or more, my maintenance calories for the day exceeds 6500 calories at times or 65 calories per kilo.

    I can't find any info on cystatin c being increased with higher bodyweight, but it makes sense since all of our cells produce it. more cells = higher cys c. this may be a question for the interviewee, but does your physician think that kidney ultrasounds are a good way to diagnose pathology of the kidneys related to nephron damage secondary to anabolics / BP issues? i know they also do ultrasounds which include the surrounding arteries, and it's usually a different order for radiology.
