with that first game, you should have just promoted the ogerpon on that last turn from the start since it was going to get the k.o, love the deck and loved your video
Ya i could have done that, but i wanted to get the KO with venusaur for fun, and since I knew there was a switch in my deck i could use I wasnt all that worried about it. sometimes you got to gamble a little bit lol. Thanks for the support hope you enjoy the other content as well!

Seems like R. Seazler and the Jungle stadium would really help damage output. You could get 200 (against non-dark) with those two cards. Which is fine, since lots of dark are weak to grass anyhow.
Maybe, but I feel like vs dark decks you hit for weakness so your already one shoting them, and anything else you don't do enough damage to 1 shot regardless. So investing the resources hurts more then helps.
@@professorgnome I think it helps as you are going to pretty much one-shot a bunch of Pokémon or possibly kill them with poison before your next turn.
Example 1: you hit Chen Pao/other 210-220 basic for 200 instead of 160 (including poison here). Opponent must either retreat or die between turns. If he retreats, then he wastes some energy and it plays similarly to no jungle/sneazler. If he attacks, you get 2-prizes and get to hit a fresh Pokémon.
Example 2: You OHKO Charizard instead of leaving it with 20 HP and a chance to attack/Turos. You are also killing Rotom V, Lumineon, and Squawk if you can gust them.
Example 3: Lugia Vstar/R.Bolt has 280/240 hp, you hit for 200 and make him confused. If he attacks, he may take 30 from confusion and another 50 from poison...a KO between turns.
You are really only replacing R.Serena and two other cards to make this happen, so it shouldn't hurt consistency very much. Also, I think you get more value from the damage than the little extra healing.

I cut some Prof. Research and leaned into the Bibarel line and it's been working pretty well, concept doesn't work well against Chien-Pao and stuff like that unless you can jump on them early with Ogre but it destroys Dragapult which is fun. I also took out a Bug Catching Set for another Vessel, vessel seems to come up big to make sure you double the energy on a turn when you can. Also tossed in a Gardenia to combo with Vessel
ill have to check it out! thanks for the tips i think the added vessel is a good idea! but i have never been a fan of gardenia it just always feels to weak for me.

It could be good, but I don't think it makes a big different since you still 2 shot everything regardless of the added poison damage
I tried H Snealser + Swamp in my Venasaur ex for 50 extra poison damage. Main use is to KO any basic ex from poison on the turn back to you.

So, I made this and fell in love, but I especially fell in love with the pokemon go Venusaur. If you pair him, with crogunk ex and a the evolved form of whomper it can make for a nasty deck, could you look into this because the one I made is good but seems lacking
Sure! I have a few things on the schedule but I can start working on it soon to see what I come up with! If I can make it work I'll put a video out for it

I have been trying to get Venusaur ex to work since it came out. I'm going to try the list and will try to remember to give some feedback after.

So I messed with it for a bit and for me it just felt kinda clunky. I tried adding Iono and I tried adding some arvens. The list that feels the best for me right now for Venusaur runs 4 arvens, 2 tm turbo energize, 1 heavy baton, and then runs the tatsugiri to look for supporters. I also have the rotom v for extra draw.

Have you thought about a copy of eggsacute v to accelerate energy?
I haven't but It could be worth a try, not sure how I feel about having to coin flip it tho

ya they are a lot of fun and im happy they have gotten more support since the pokemon are not always the best

Ya, the new Ogerpon helps it so much. I tried to make Venesaur work so badly but it was super slow with 3 manual energy attachments. It just got demolished by everything.

Ya heavy baton would be a great addition to the deck!
I think not using Gardenia's vigor is risky because you can easily miss an attack.
You only have 4 energy switches and you need 2 of them to attack and if you kill and then get return KO it looks bad.
The problem I have is that gardenias is just a bad card and doesn't add enough value. If it could go onto the active that be one thing but plus it doesn't give enough draw support in the early game when I would much rather dig for 7 with research or something. It could be better, but overall I'm not a fan of gardenia as. A card.
I was thinking this too. It could also stand to have some exp shares or maybe a Blissey or 2.

Ya that would also be fine, the main reason I run cock is that you don't always have another venusaur set up so if you pick it up you don't have many options plus you have to power it up again. But with cock and venusaurs healing you get to live another hit almost every time

At 9:30 is exactly my problem with pokemon tcg competitive scene as a whole🤔😡. You did all that work setting up and putting energy on your guy and attacking. Then he has a free retreater(another issue they do a lot) then switches into a BASIC pokemon that INSTANTLY KNOCKSOUT a stage 2 and can keep attacking if you dont ko it the following turn! That is just one of the many ex's they have printed in the last 12 months. But cards like Venusaur and Blastois and Lycanroc ex should all be playable but cant because of cards like that and Dark Charizard ex. So stupid
I mean true and I see your point but thats just a part of every card game there will always be cards that are better then others so you just have to roll with it sometimes

Ya i could have just gone ogerpon but i wanted to try to get the KO with venusaur, and i knew I would be able to find the switch if I had to. But ya i could have just gone ogerpon and end the game for sure lol but sometimes you have to try to go for the content plays haha
