Thanks for such a fantastic review of the Y60! LOVING the build and we think it's amazing how well you were able to showcase all the features the case has to offer! Keep up the great work!
Thank you so much!! I appreciate you taking the time to comment and making such an excellent product.
Will you release it in the UK already, can't wait to switch into this case
I’m pretty sure they have 👀. I remember seeing on something about it on their Instagram.
@@DanKamYouKnow just pre orders from 1 store
GET MY CASE YESTERDAY ITS CARZY
This case looks flawless. I am going to show it to my son. We are trying to figure everything out for building our first PC. Thanks again for all you do Dan. Always grateful. Hope you and your family are well.
Hope you and your son are doing well too!
Looks great!!! I ve been curious about this case thanks for building in it!!
Love how it came out! Thanks Alex
Very nice job Dan. I really like how you went over everything and the final build looks excellent.
Thank you so much!
@@DanKamYouKnow Your welcome. I think someone is trying to scam people pretending to be you. They send me messages to contact them on Telegram for a prize lol.
Yeah, I’ve gotten like 5-10 comments over the past few days and I’ve reported them all. They should all be taken care of but there’s always some scammer out there 🙄. Thanks for letting me know
that was a clean build, pretty relaxing to see the process. only improvement i can think of is lightning, it was really dark on some takes but everything else is excellent!
Appreciate the feedback David! Always had trouble with lighting in my apartment. Was just looking at some soft boxes to help with brightness. Thanks for the tip.
Best Hyte Y60 build video out there. Had more of the small details that other videos never mention. Hopefully Santa hooks me up with this case this year!
Thank you so much! Appreciate you saying that 👌🏻
This video was extremely helpful, because I just ordered a computer that has this exact case. Looks really simple to replace/add upgrade parts if need to. Many thanks :3
You’re welcome and thank you so much for the comment!! Appreciate you doing so.
just stumbled upon this video, and damn what a great review!
Thank you so much!!
Once again a great video from my YT favorite :D
This case looks great
(Best regards Frode Espeland)
Appreciate you Frode! Thanks my friend.
Great video, Dan. I knew that case would work great for you.
Thanks Fredo! Hopefully you pick one up as well. 👌🏻
@@DanKamYouKnow I want one but I am still rocking my 2060 Super, I am leaning towards a new video card instead. But I want that case pretty bad. Lol
Great video Dan ! Thanks
Thank you Kevin, appreciate the support.
great video, I just ordered one
Thanks! You’ll love it, such a fun case to build in.
Love the vid bro! I am thinking of getting the hyte y60 but the lian li dynamic is a great option too
Thank you! Definitely, love the Lian Li cases, I want to do a build in their O11 dynamic Mini case soon.
I only just recently became aware of this case! Looks cool and is cool quite literally LOL. Not sure how I feel personally about the video card being mounted vertically with this case but at least you don't need to worry about GPU sag. Awesome overall with Kratos in the front! On a side note, it's nice to see increased video card availability as of late. Thanks for the review.
The card being mounted vertically is definitely a different look but I LOVE being able to see the fans spinning, I think it’s super cool and fitting for the case. Plus, I can still fully see all the RGB for the card too.
Totally agree! So awesome to see the GPU market come back down and see cards available at MSRP!
@@DanKamYouKnow Absolutely, the #1 thing is that you love it. I've enjoyed seeing the evolution of your PC since you originally purchased the Omen. That is awesome about video cards, I am at something of a crossroads of what I want to do with my PC.
I just order one of these Sunday night; should get it this Friday to next Wednesday. I first seen this last week, but thought it was too high, (which it is), but I finally broke down and ordered it.. I think that this is so good/great looking, and I really like the ideal of the big graphics card sitting on the bottom vs. hanging from the MB..
You won’t regret it my friend. I absolute love everything about this case.
Very clean. MAJOR POG.
🤣👌🏻😎👀🤝
Wow, what a beautiful case, gimme, gimme, gimme!!
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
My case and i love it.Temps are good and easy to clean.I use rtx 4090 extreme waterforce tho for my build.
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
I just recently moved my PC into this case. I mounted three 120mm fans up top under the bracket and I did have an issue with space for my 8 pin power cable. I had a sleeved cable but it was too stiff and ended up having to go with the stock cable because it was more flexible. I'm still watching my gpu thermals closely because I'm running 3080 Suprim X but they look similar to yours.
Even with my AsiaHorse extensions which are extremely flexible, it was very difficult to get my 8 pin through, so I mounted them on top of the radiator “basket”. I’ll probably always stick with the side mounted radiator so that’ll work for now.
My 3080 just likes to pull a ton of power an usually runs in the low to mid 70’s, and around 77c under a benchmark. It’s a little higher than I would like but it’s in the nature of owning such a powerful card. I thought I made a huge mistake by going with this case while owning this card, but so far, so good.
@@DanKamYouKnow We can always take the glass panel off if it becomes an issue. It's not ideal but it's less expensive than a custom loop. Lol
Truth. As of right now, I have games for hours and haven’t noticed anything higher than 74c on my GPU so I think I’m good. I do have my Noctua fans set pretty aggressively all around. I need to load of God of War or Horizon Zero Dawn as both those games really give a GPU a sweat.
Beautiful build! Loving your channel. I picked up the 12gb 3080 FTW3 the other day. I'm not sure if I should keep it or return it and wait until the 40 series come out. I plan on building in the Y60 soon. Should I keep the 3080 or use my 1080 in my current build until the new series comes out? Really conflicted.
Thank you so much Alex! IMO, I would keep the 3080, it will be relevant for a long time and the 40 series GPU’s will not be as big of a gain as the hype is right now. You’ve got one of the best cards made right now and waiting for the 40 series just isn’t with it IMO.
Awesome case, cool build, great thermals! Dan, it's been really cool watching you grow and do all this stuff, very informative and instructional, thank you.
"Aquarium type vibe" - How about a water cooled system with a clear water reservoir with fish? A real aquarium desktop - not just a screensaver :) Remember you heard it here first haha
I appreciate your support as always, you’ve been following for a loonnng time and I appreciate you! That would be a cool build! Robeytech actually turned his Y60 into a fish tank:

😂
Thanks Dan.
Thank YOU!
My only issue with the case is the hard drive support. I personally am running 2 3.5 inch drives , a 2.5 inch SSD (as well as 2x nvme drives on mobo). I had to double sided tape my 2.5 inch SSD to the case where the PSU is. There is so much space in the back compartment where they could have allowed mounting for 2.5 inch dad's. Granted most people don't use multiple 3.5 inch drives in their systems anymore, but even my $80 thermaltake s100 had provisions for 2x3.5 inch drives and 2 X 2.5 inch SSD caddies on back of motherboard tray. Just a thought
I gotcha. I use a 2TB NVME and 1 TB NVME on my board, and one 4 TB 2.5” SSD now so it worked for me. I think Hyte realized that HDD’s are kind of fading out for DIY PC’s
One thing I do like is the bottom part of the case, hiding the fans is better than having them on display like the Lian Li.... just looks neater
They need to fix the rubber gromets and allow 3 x 120 in the bottom.
Some top 360mm AIO don't fit with the tubes coming down on the glass side.
My Rog Strix 3090 fan's spins up quite fast, I think the vertical mount placed GPU's too close to the glass, and I am not sure the 2 x 140mm offer enough air, perhaps the integrated GPU mount restricts the air.
Honestly, I think 2 140mm's at the bottom is just fine, the case would be significantly longer if they tried to fit 3 120mm fans, although that extra bit of airflow would be nice. I haven't seen anyone run into any issues with 360mm rads fitting yet, but the tubes have to be oriented at the front.
Im a little bit inexperienced when it comes to installing motherboards into new cases, just never had to perform this. Did you use any specific standoffs when installing the board? And if so which location did you do so? Any help would be much appreciated Dan, thanks!
Hey Freddie. So, most cases will have standoffs ready for ATX sized motherboards, so you can just use the screws provided with the case to secure the motherboard down. Different size motherboards like mATX will require you to move the bottom row of standoffs to a new location. The case manual will you should how yo do it.
Couple of tips:
1. Get a 360mm aio your 240 is currently making it harder for your side intake to actually intake so not only will a 360mm improve cpu temps it'll help gpu temps because there will be less resistance
2. Have x3 120mm at the top I'd better than x2 140, yes the 140's move more air but when you put an aio there the surface area of the 120s will be better because those would be more effective at cooling the water
3. You front panel connectors might get caught in the bottom 140's so you should run those cables underneath the motherboard as a opposed to the hole behind the gpu
👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
Nice case. Great on thermals but I'm still stuck on the new omen case as a favorite
I do like the 45L case but the $250 price point is a bit ridiculous. Different style cases though but would love to build in the 45L case one day.
@@DanKamYouKnow just noticed you can buy it now haha. I don't like that price but I think I might get it anyway. Would love to upgrade my 30l to that case
I think the 45L case would be an awesome upgrade for any 25L / 30L owner. Especially since you’ll be keeping the Omen aesthetic to it 👌🏻
Hi Dan I (fellow watchers) know very little about PC building so really enjoy your concise & honest videos. My son has an OMEN 30L GT13-0091na, it runs hot like magma. Any recommendations on AIO to install or best save for a mobo and
just transfer what I can across into a case like this? Cheers keep making content 👍🏻
Case swapping would be your best bet, or installing something like the Corsair H60 into your Omen case would do wonders. I uploaded a full tutorial on installing the H60 into an Omen:
czcams.com/video/sG9LLNnY3uY/video.html
Great video. Very cool case but expensive.
Thanks Kanive
The adaptor is for people with headsets and mics that are separate or that use 2 3.5mm for the mic and headset
Appreciate the info 👌🏻
Great video as always, Dan! Frankly, I’m disappointed. One has turned it into a working fish tank! 😉
Thanks Brad! YT’er Robeytech already did it! 😳😎
@@DanKamYouKnow Of course someone already did... LOL
I would definitely build in this case if it wasnt for the half height PCIE slot covers
I agree. Definitely doesn’t work for a lot of people with expansion devices
Hello Dan! Between the Y60 and the nzxt H9 flow which one would you recommend?
The H9 Flow is a better case in my opinion, but the Y60 looks very cool and I loved my build in it. I just did a video on the H9 Flow and so far, temps are great and I love how it looks.
How’s the CPU working for you? Have you ever considered others besides the Ryder 5 5600x?
This CPU has been fantastic! Highly recommend it. I will actually be swapping it out to go in another build soon because I got a Ryzen 9 5900x on Prime Day. 5600x is fantastic for gaming and a really good CPU, great deals on them now too
I was really thinking about getting this case but had a question is there any room to install my Elgato 4K60 Pro MK.2 behind the gpu? it came with a low profile bracket but i don't know if it will totally fit.
You might have to check Hyte’s website to see the maximum depth for a El Gato capture card. I know only 1/2 height expansion cards will fit so I’m not 100% sure.
Looks pretty cool! How would you compare it to the lian li lancool ii mesh?
Different class of case. The Lancool ii will definitely be a bit better for thermals, but I think the Y60 looks much better IMO.
Can you change the riser cable which I believe is PCI 4.0 to 3.0? because I have an Asus Maximus X motherboard which is PCI 3.0 this what stopping me to buy this case
You should be able to use a PCIe 4.0 riser cable on a 3.0 motherboard, and it will obviously run at 3.0 speeds. You may want to double check with Hyte Support to confirm but you can use PCIe 4.0 GPU’s on 3.0 motherboards.
Are the temperatures average? Compared to lian li o11 d evo and 5000d airflow? Is it worth buying if you want good temperatures and looks? Any answer is appreciated. Thanks
Temperatures are much better than I expected and completely acceptable. You can always make minor tweaks like under-volting / settings adjustments / fan curves, to get your desired temperatures. But even completely as is, temps are just fine. I would choose whichever case you think looks better. 👍🏻
@@DanKamYouKnow daamn bro soo fast service lol. The only tech youtuber who answers back thanks man appreciate it. I think i will buy this case now
No problem! I’m at my computer a lot ( mainly because of my normal work job ) and try to answer all my comments. Have fun with your build!
@@DanKamYouKnow btw is it possible to add more storage by making some place like using double tape and adding it on back (cable management) or the bottom fan place
There might be a little room in the back but it really only has 2 dedicated trays for 2.5” SSD’s and 3.5” HDD’s. I’m sure you can find a place to double sided tape one or 2 though
Could use some help! I really would like to buy this case but want to use my existing PSU that is 9.45 inches long. Seeing the one installed in this build is 5.51 inches long, do you think there is enough room to still route power cables with my PSU?
(I know it will be tight, but is it doable)
Googling shows Hytes website that says the maximum PSU length is 9.3”, so yours would just barely be too big.
hyte.com/store/y60?v=113
Do you have a link for the light bar you used?
Oh snap, I didn't put it in the description, I will go ahead and add it, thank you for reminding me. It is this one:
amzn.to/38VBj5m
Looks so good, I just dont understand how those GPU fans are doing anything blowing into the wall
I personally set mine up pretty well same way except I have both bottom and top as intakes, and the side radiator exhaust, simply tlfor asthetics as the back of fans look ugly
I would rather go for function over form, and the backs of my Lian Li fans ( that were on the PC ) look good too
I am considering to buy this pc case and use it with my old thermalright peerless assassin as my cpu air cooling. Is it ok? Some advice please.
I actually have not seen anyone use an air cooler with this case but it’s more geared towards AIO’s then tower coolers. Not to say it won’t work but this case doesn’t have the best airflow so not sure what results you’d get. I’m sure it will be completely fine though.
so do you have to vertically mount the gpu or you can put it in normal?
Vertical only.
i've a question, does a amd ryzen 7 5700g need 2 4 pin power connectors or is 1 enough?
I think it needs 2x4
I just wish this could have a horizontal gpu.. I don't like this vertical gpu craze, and it's so close to the window so it just makes the gpu hotter.. The thermals are also higher on this so running a 13900k or something is a tad risky. The only two things I'm concerned about my pending build is case, and motherboard... Y60, H9 Flow or Elite, 011D-Evo, or maybe a Fractal North (the BEST one, but small and sold out...)
I would go with the H9 Elite if I were you. I believe that’s the horizontal version of that case.
Is it possible to mount a gpu the traditional way or is it vertical only?
Vertical only.
I just bought mine. I got the white one. Kinda wishing I went with all blacked out
White one is still cool 👍🏻
Do you think this case would work with the EVGA 3090ti. I thinks it's a 3.5 slot.
Man, it might but it would probably be right up against the glass. My 3080 is a pretty chunky card and is close to the glass, and the 3090Ti FTW3 is a whole slot thicker. I’m not sure unfortunately
@@DanKamYouKnow I kinda figured that. Sucks because that is a cool looking case. Thanks for letting me know. Great video man.
Appreciate it! You could always run the side panel(s) off if you really wanted to. I kept mine open for several weeks and just made sure to use my electronic duster more often.
Hello man, I turned on OMEN 25L it was working fine, now I have no signal for monitor and none of us s working... What now?
Did you change anything? Have you tried powering down and restarting?
what size did you get the rgb bar in??
The smaller of the 2 sizes, I believe it is 1ft / 30cm
@@DanKamYouKnow thank you!
If this man was covered with white paint and red stripes, he would look like kratos for sure
can you horizontal mount in this case?
Nope
Is the gpu temp of 77c the junction temp?
Core temp. But I had my power setting set pretty high for this video ( it was pulling almost 400w ). I dialed it down and consistently get around 65-72c. With some fan curve adjustments and GPU setting tweaks, you can make any GPU run fine in this chassis.
Can you mount the GPU horizontally? It doesn't seem like it but I was really hoping to
You cannot, it is vertical mount only case. Horizontal would require modification and not sure would be possible.
@@DanKamYouKnow thank you, I just rewatched and saw that you mentioned that. Thanks for the reply
No worries. Would of been cool to see a horizontal mount for it. Maybe a 2nd version.
@@DanKamYouKnow yeah it would've been, doesn't deter me from the case though :) it'll be my first build that I'll be tackling next week so this video will be very helpful
Oh nice! Honestly, it’s a really easy case to build in, lots of room to build in. I was actually thinking of doing a video on a step by step guide to build in this case, but it would be for several weeks. This video should definitely help you out though. Feel free to reach out if you have any questions during the build. Be patient and good luck!
Where can i get a dancam action figure like yours
😂😂😂 I AM KRATOS!! 😎
You look like Kratos with that beard xD But it's okay that's cute hahahaha

Hi there, would like to ask for opinion for hyte y60 black with white components build (msi trio 4070ti ,g skill trident z5 ,nzxt elite 360,asus prime z790, lian li sl v2 white fan) will it looks weird? Because from wat i research ppl usually go full black build or full white build. Anyone can share me their opinion for their hyte y60 black case with white build , thanks!
I think it would look good. Always liked the black and white theme
Where does the lan cable go
Your motherboard.
just a question
isnt the 5600x a bottleneck with the 3080
i mean, if i had a 3080 i would use a 5800x or a 7600x
Not at 1440p, maybe at 1080p but I moved on from 1080p a loonnngggg time ago 😎
@@DanKamYouKnow good to know, thanks
also, forgot to mention how good the build looks
i cant believe how huge that case is lol
It's actually just as tall as the Fractal Compact 2 case, but a whooollleee lot wider lol

BOOOOYYYY 😎
Gigachad Earth 616 Common W
wait can the hyte y60 fit the xfx 6800 XT ?!??!?!
Yeah, it’ll fit.
I don’t see what all the hyte is about. 😬
My favorite part is actually the io on bottom
Ahhhhh, I see what you did there. Bottom panel IO is so much cleaner looking
No links on cable extenders slackinn
Everything is linked in the description?! What cable extenders? The PSU extensions are linked….
hey Dan, your 280mm radiator is upside down.
It’s completely fine to run it this way. As long as the pump isn’t the highest point of the system.
yu have your own action figure???
😎😎😎
Can´t make up my mind with this case... Black or White
Really depends on the components. I think more components match with black, but the right components with a white case is unmatched. My build looked better with black 😎
looks like a fancy fish tank. 011d still champ
I do like the O11D a lot, but it’s a bit played out now. I love my Fancy Aquarium 😂
It look like a fish tank, not for me.
👍🏻
Your radiator is upside down my dood, that's how you end up with pump wine and poor radiator life.
As long as the pump isn’t the highest point in the system, it’s fine. This has been proven many times
First?
