The reason I like this case is that it comes with a PCI-E 4.0 ricer cable already installed, for the price of a 4.0 cable the case might as well be $110.
I like it, corner style case you can see thru. Good airflow on the back panel and fan support. I guess is kinda sealed enough to make that flow happen from back to back.
Very nice looking case that will have a market for sure. I’m between the meshify 2 and the 011 evo with mesh kit and top io at the moment. This looks great though.
Thx, this video really fills in the gaps about this case (i.e. the gaps between glass panels and how ventilated the case really is). Thanks for showing it from so many angles and how a 360mm AIO fits.
Nice looking case. Something different. Just bought the hyte revolt 3.
Hi, just wanted to say I stumbled across your page because I own an Inwin Malestorm (which I am going to reuse on a new build ((love the old style of it)) and wanted to see what youtube had to say about it and found an old video of yours (not sure if you even remember!). Very glad to see your still making videos 12 years later from the video I watched!
Love reading comments like these
A bit large for the build I want to do next, but very intrigued in this case. A mini version would be cool. Like a 10 gallon tank/case size.
Bloody good review Guv!
love your vid mate.
Hey Tom, great in-depth review as always. Just one thing, when presenting your charts you need to highlight the case that’s being reviewed so it’s easy to pick out at a glance. It’s quite hard to see where the review case is in the list as it’s getting crapped with loads listed.
Good tip!
@@OC3D What were your temps with your own build? Were they equal or better? Also noise level?
I really like this case.
So thankful you did a video review. I started, with dread, to read your long review.( cuz I wasn't in the mood for reading while I have my moring cuppa java) As always, an excellent review. As I ponder building a new system, this case caught my attention. I have not checked yet to see if it is available here in Canada. Thanks to your stellar review, I am still using the Corsair 900D. It's been six years now, the longest I have ever kept the same build.
It is available from their website with shipping to Canada - as of today - March 23 it would be $305 CAD - but that doesn't include tax - so who know how customs will be - The international shipping is the only thing holding me back from buying it - Heavy and glass through customs is a bit of a gamble for survivability.
@@OntarioGuy430 thanks.
Hey mate! Great review! Only feedback is when you put up the graphs if theres a way to highlight the case you're discussing in the graphs so its easier for the eye to find and compare it to.
In addition your logos are covering up information on bottom left and bottom right!
But love the review!
I'd like to see future revisions as so I could lay it on its side.
A State of Trance! My man 😀
I need some advice... I currently have a white build with Lian Li 011 mini snow and my KFA2 RTX 3080 ti HOF vertically mounted. I want to get a beefier PSU as I currently have a Corsair SF750 and the best I could get is 850W. Would you recommend the Hyte Y60 in case I want to swap it? Thanks in advance!
Wonder if you could put a distro res in the front like the ones EK have for the Lian Li, I think for me it's missing enough HDD mounting space
Looks awesome
Great review :)
Hyte should add for the production verision the same grommets that every other case uses for example the lian li 011d mini and same add a coverplate for the cabels aswell, easy fix for them. They will gain 2 slots for 2.5" drives and hide the cables its a win win. And the top should be aluminium not plastic, feels cheap to go with plastic 2022.
I will still buy it, but i hope for those final tweaks will be tweaked for the final production verision.
Nice review! And I am looking forward to buy this one! Cheers!
Really like it Tom, great vid, nice to see you building again, anybody got any idea on cost?
$199, you can pre order in white, black, or red
How difficult is it to take off the side tempered glass panel? Is it easy to take off like the back panel or screwed on?
Beautiful build I may have missed it but can you fit a standard ATX motherboard with with a 360 radiator on top?
yes you can
Can you fit an SFX/ SFX L power supply ? Is there a bracket for it ?
Can it take a push/pull fan radiator system at the top ?
So torn between this exact case and color and the 011D EVO
With the fish tank style design a water cooled build would be fitting.
Cool case
I really like this case and would love to have it on my desk, though it is a bit big. My wife also likes it a lot and has tried to talk me into it. The problem for me is, I can not fathom spending that much on a case and proper fans to make it pop and then put in a mid range or less graphic card. In all honesty, I do not need anything more than a mid-range machine. While I do still game, the sessions are not as intense as they once were back in the day and sometimes it can be weeks or months between sessions of intense game play. So it is hard for me to justify such a beautiful build.
I like it but prefer clear tempered glass as on my white Lian Li O11 Dynamic XL...thank you for the review!
If they made an xl version where you can fit 3 360 rads and have a custom distroplate than awesome
Great review Tom. Love the case but don't want to be limited to just vertically mounting the GPU. Hopefully, they'll make a somewhat larger version that will allow full-size video cards.
You can fit full size cards in this build
@@nickbakal4430 You have to mount the videocard vertically. You can't mount one directly into the motherboard in a traditional position.
Hi can someone so kind to tell me where to buy that wooden round table tray that is under his hyte y60 case? what is the name of that item? i wanna search online and buy it. Thanks!
Nice fish tank.
Will this fit a 360 liquid freezer 2 in the roof? witgh the fans up top. Or will the clearance between rad and mb be 0?
That too thicc
That's a nice looking case, but the trend of vertical graphics card mounts makes me a bit sad.
I'm happier having it directly on the motherboard TBH... though next time I build I'll probably look for something similar to the legendary Raven RV-02.
I guess I'd rather have something easy to work with and highly performant. Bonus points for sound damping. Hold the RGB.
Will it be available to buy in the UK
Nice looking fish tank ;)
the white strix is my dream GPU 😵
hey tom!
your speaker in the background needs a kiss to fix the dome ;)
When you say "I like how it looks". Do you mean the cat or the case?
Pretty sure side actually holds up to 280 rad and can hold 2 140mm fans. Rad can be up to 150mm thick
I'm only amazed that it hasn't been done before.
nice aquarium
I'm sure the cat is sitting there waiting for Tom to put the fish in.
Why did you leave the plastic protective sheet on all 3 panels of glass? Holy shit, that was triggering, haha.
Great video reviewing this case! Getting it myself and arriving this week can't wait! A bit of advice maybe to do in post producing is try to edit out all the breathing sound. There just a lot of heavy breathing in after some sentences making it sound like you just did something extremely physical and is trying to catch your breath. Kinda distracting not going to lie but other wise great video!
Im asthmatic dude, thats just me
@@OC3D ah understandable then.
whats the song called
Makes me imagined a PC immersed in mineral oil.
Have you ever been compared to Lee Mack?
Its definitely not the first time Ive heard it mentioned :p
This case is pure for water cooling for both cpu and gpu other wise u will definitely have heating issue on gpu
not sure about the airflow though
Revolutionary - it’s a fish tank ready for mineral oil baths
Holy Mackerel. That case looks like something Dr. Emmett Brown invented.
Can you fit a 280 aio on the side ?
Yes you can :)
I'm not overly sold on the aesthetic; the edges of the corner pane look unsmooth on camera, as though it is unpeeled. I share your doubts about the grommeting. The front i/o is nicely accessible with the angling and It does provide a nice cat-friendly area without intrusion though! Further evidence the cats own us? 🙂 The white is definetely the better looking of the colour options for this case and looking around the web reinforces it is a good case regarding building in and setting up custom water cooling. Perhaps not my aesthetic; but a solid win otherwise.
It is unpeeled, don't think he has peeled it off yet LOL.
Still havnt peeled it and Im using it now too lol
@@OC3D My OCD is triggered :P
So will my Fish get shredded in the fans ? Even the Cat thinks it's a Fish tank .
Where is the cat?
I'll stick with my Fractal Torrent black on black
Nyce. Got a lot of thoughtful little details, turns out it's not just a lian-li O11 with the corner cut off.
Looks like an aquarium.
Happy cat.
the only thing i dont like about this cage is that you need to put the lateral intake fans on the ugly side... so sad
At this point, we should buy an aquarium and convert to a pc case
Great case review Tom, hope you're ok dude. You sound out of breath
Id just ran up the stairs before that bit, I edited out the doorbell ringing :p
LoL thought that might be the case 🤣 no pun intended
I came for the cat....
Ding
I love how the website says gpu's with a height no more than 75 mm, meanwhile you're out here just slapping 140mm in it hahaha
I'm pretty sure the 140mm is the length of the gpu and not the height. It's designed to fit all the current gpus.
Wow, it looks like a fish tank.
YES, aircoolers are OLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLDDDDDDDD, and not useful anymore. Can you fit a 360 AIO in that front side space??????
I'm only here for the cat
They might want to think about changing the name. Because the letter S exists.
You sound like Korg from Thor
Isnt he the Australian one that looks like hes made from Rocks?
let the cat inside the box will be unforgettable.
2022 and still usb c is not included on every case. Sigh*
It is on the case.
Looks like a fish tank.
damn i put my fans the opposite what >
i really do hate vertical mounts, brilliant case otherwise
No one likes an untightie rear end :D
Your breathing doesn't sound to good there mate, you ok?
Id just ran up the stairs after a courier had delivered on that bit :p
@@OC3D Multitasking at it's best :D
First!=
average performaning case that looks like a fish bowl for 199, hard pass for me
Smh... How easily people get caught by fishing net trend, all excited over an ugly looking fish tank.
pls stop breathing like if you were dying man
Im asthmatic. Id just run up two flights of stairs.
@@OC3D ooh sorry brooo, didn’t know (thinking that you had mic issues)
