I just bought the exact same mower last week. As a test the fully charged 6AH battery cut 12500 square feet and lasted 45 minutes 100% using the self propel. Amazing. I have a spare 4AH that came with my Ryobi leaf blower but will never need it for mowing as the bulk of my mowing will be with my Cub Cadet. The 40V HP is a huge upgrade over the standard 40V battery. My only reservations with Ryobi is Home Depot no long accepts Ryobi repairs even though they are the largest seller of Ryobi (?????) and the Ryobi repair places are few and far between with the nearest one for me 112 miles away. A word to the wise as well, never let your 40V battery sit for long periods of time fully discharged or sit in the charger for long periods. The battery could go into a no charge mode which will facilitate taking it apart and do a reset if out of warranty. Videos here on YT on how to do that. All in all, I decided to pull the trigger as it appears to be the best self propelled electric mower out there at its current price point. Time will tell.

Good to know, thanks. Something I lot of knowledgeable people have forgotten in the last 20 plus years of these Jack leg crews acting as professional lawn care service; each type of grass has an optimum height we want to cut it at. Grass cut too short- goes away. That’s why so many lawns now have hard packed dirt / weed areas. For healthy roots, thus healthy plant, don’t cut too short. And, don’t over water,,want those roots to develop deep. Wish the best in turning lawn around.

Setting up the Ryobi lawnmowers are very easy Ryobi as made it that it can be ready to go very quickly, I did spend more time trying to get that grass catcher bag than I would have liked and I have never used that attachment. I use the mulcher plug, I recommend users not to bother with the bag unless you plan on using the bag to collect leaves.

I miss using this lawn mower, ours lasted for a good two years until the handles became infested with ants, got to be careful where you store your equipment because those ants with destroy everything
