    Have You tried to give it more than one pass to make it finer?

      @TheFarmhouseMom  Před rokem +1

      I did when I first started using the Nutrimill, and it turned into a paste and gummed up the stones. Not good! The best solution I've found is to sift it. There are some electric sifters on Amazon that would probably make the flour ultra fine, I just already have so many big appliances out on the counter I didn't want to add any more. I've also read they get flour everywhere!

      @@TheFarmhouseMom thank you, also I’m a little concerned that while I was milling, my nutrimill got warm and then turned off. Then when I opened it it was gummed in. Im waiting for it to cool down and see if it will turn on. Have you ever had that happen?

    • @TheFarmhouseMom
      @TheFarmhouseMom  Před rokem +1

      @@yuliyasushchik4158 yes. When it gets too hot it will automatically shut down. Let it cool and then turn it back on, and run some rice through to clean it.

    Oh bless you!! A simple thing as watching you turn the knob left or right solved my problem!! You helped when no one could!

      You're welcome! I struggled when I first started and there were no helpful videos to watch so I thought I’d make one!

    You’re the first video I found that talked about how far I can turn the stones down. I was concerned if it would ruin the machine.

    Should the grains be soaked before using them in the bread machine? Also, does anything special need to be done when making bread machine bread with freshly milled wheat berries?

    • @TheFarmhouseMom
      @TheFarmhouseMom  Před 3 měsíci

      No, you don’t want to soak the berries before grinding. I think you would just make your recipe as normal, you possibly may need to add a little more liquid with fresh. I would make your recipe as normal, see how it turns out, and adjust as needed!

    Typically I will just add my grain after “backing off” a bit initially. But you’re saying it’s okay to turn to a more fine grind once you add grain? I had never heard that was okay to do!

    • @TheFarmhouseMom
      @TheFarmhouseMom  Před rokem +3

      Yes! In the user manual, page 5, it says "you may adjust the control knob during milling. Clockwise for finer flour and counterclockwise for coarser flour".

    Hello there. May I ask where did you get your storage containers from that your wheat berries are in?

    Do you know if there is aluminum in the stone that grinds?

    • @TheFarmhouseMom
      @TheFarmhouseMom  Před 8 měsíci +1

      The stones are made from synthetic corundum. I do not believe they contain aluminum, but I’m sure you could contact NutriMill if you want to be 100%! They are pretty good about returning emails.
