Another bootleg console with interesting story was Pegasus (A 1991 famiclone that was sold in Poland and was one of the most popular video game consoles there in 90s).

They first discovered about 1,800 consoles when they caught Cohen and later arrested four Chinese nationals the day they discovered the 60,000 bootlegs. I love that the Italian infomercial dude didn't even say "two controllers" when describing the product he was gonna sell but he referred to it as "two consoles... uuuh... joysticks". Also in the complete infomercial he called a breakout clone "tennis game"

For people who don't know how minesweeper work, it's fairly simple and a good time burner when you're bored. Basically, when you click a square, it's either empty, has a number or a mine. Mine is obviously a loss, but empty acts a zero, and that's where the numbers come in. The square you click is the center of a 9 block square and the number indicates how many mines are in the surrounding squares. It's basically a logic puzzle that starts with luck.

Then I got an NES and explored it for a bit with that "Super Mario Bros. and Duckhunt" combo with a working NES Zapper. I don't think I would of ever went down that path without ever getting that dodgey plug and play. Also, the world is Ironic in that FBI stopped these things from happening and then the world just got flooded with more.
