How to use folding lines - SIV Training with the LIBRA RS

- If you want to do a SIV training with your LIBRA RS, you will need to order a Folding Line Set from your SWING dealer or directly from SWING.
The Folding Line Set is necessary to be able to simulate the manoeuvres relevant for the homologation. For this purpose it is mounted in the foremost position before the A-lines on the lower sail of the canopy and on the riser.
With this Folding Line Set , front stalls and side collapses can be flown and trained in 2-liner SIV training just like any other 3-liner. This Folding Line Set comes fully assembled and color coded ready to install.
In the video the function of the Folding Line Set, the installation and the handling in the SIV training is explained in detail. Alessio Cassola answers the most important questions of LIBRA RS pilot Philipp Ott regarding the SIV training with the EN-C 2 liner.
Philipp performs accelerated and unaccelerated front stalls and side collapses with his LIBRA RS and the mounted Folding Line Set and shows how he initiates them with the folding line set.

Why collapse the A-risers by tying them to the ends of canopy?
Doesn't the 2 liner collapse more properly when you hold the A riser and collapse it?
Looks like the collapses with this method are not very strong. My en-B glider has much worse reaction on 50% speed bar than this.
This is the method how the ENC 2 liners are certified to get the rating. To create a bigger collapse you have to press the speed bar and pull down the folding line very impulsively. Nevertheless, the LIBRA RS is very very stable hangs rarely and turns away very damped
The reaction of the collapse is very mild, cause the RAST System is intended to do so. You can see that the frontal collapse stops at the RAST Wall inside the Canopy. See the description of the system and try it by yourself.
