- Inspect Carmelita Montoya Fox has appeared in all Sly Cooper Games. This detective looks like a simple character who's fallen in love with Sly Cooper. But, what if there's more to Carmelita?
Sly Cooper's family line is composed of thieves who steal from criminals. Each and every Cooper wrote down their skills in a book called the Thievius Raccoonus.
What about Carmelita's ancestors? Could her ancestors have been connected to the Coopers somehow? Could some Coopers have come across some of Carmelita's ancestors? Could one of Carmelita's ancestors been thieves? Could one of her ancestors have been friends or best friends with the Coopers?

Maybe her ancestors were cops obsessed with capturing the coopers of their respected time periods so she is obsessed with capturing sly just like her ancestors

That's a highly possible valid and more logical theory and it actualy makes more since and perhaps Sly and Carmelita are the first pioneers to break that ancestral cicle and bond them together for the love they have for each other despite the law vs lawless issue and honestly the 4th Game is legit the best Sly Cooper i personaly ever playing on my entire life on PS3 when i was a kid and i am glad to been able to play it despite its own flaws which its perfectly fine because not every video in the world is perfect because soo long the story makes sense in the end (despite the cliffhanger) its fine by me

We all know the Sly Cooper Series has very mysterious characters, lacking background history. Carmelita is no exception, and I was kind of hoping to see more of her in the fourth game. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. There's no solid proof that her ancestors could be related to the Coopers, their parents are absent from the series, and there's a lot more missing here. It was a problem by Sucker Punch, and apparently Sanzaru has the same idea of not giving detailed information about the main characters of the game, and the best example of this is Bentley and Murray. Their past before the orphanage is a HUGE question mark. I hope you guys are with me, and I really would mind a movie or a short film, containing all the events previous to Sly 1 (Sly's parents history, Bentley, Murray and Carmelita background) to explain how all the pieces fit together. And your theory videos VIVI could finally be proven right (or wrong)
Yeah, it does seem like the games lack background story. Sucker Punch or Sanzaru can easily continue the series just by covering all those. That's what's fun about theory videos, going over stuff that were never answered nor mentioned.

While I do wish we could know more about Bentley and Murray’s biological family, and Carmelita’s backstory, I don’t think every character needs a prestigious lineage. It’d kinda conflict with the games “found family” thing with the Cooper gang, and would feel a bit forced if they all had famous lineages. Anyone within the Slyverse has the potential to be great, just because Sly is a cooper, it doesn’t mean he wouldn’t be a master thief if he wasn’t.

What if Carmelita's Grandpa was a cop in the 1920's and 30's, and her mother and uncle in the late 1960's early 1970's??

I also think that the mission were too Silly in Sly 4 I like how in 2&3 the missions were semi-silly so they were fun, but also believable and realistic
That pic about the Fox Geisha makes some sense to me remember the Belly Dancer mission in Sly 4 the Fox in the pic looks like she is wearing a Belly dancer outfit and Carmelita could not have done those moves on her own hmmmm maybe it`s a trait shared in the Carmelita Fox family

There has to be an ancestor who was a girlfriend/wife to Saleem, or possibly that same geisha fox after traveling to the middle east and effectively becoming a sumo sized bellydancer, who's built like two of Bob, four of Murray, and still as agile as Rioichi: Imagine playing as her in Sly 6, lots of jiggle physics

My theory is that around 1890 officer fox was a prodegy but cooper was always one step ahead and it pretty much become tradition in the fox family to catch master thieves since it would be more intresting to top cop to track master thief than just arrest some car thief or pyramid schammer

The gears are turning in my head. I just finished playing sly cooper for the 9th time (I always go through the story every year) I have to look into this theories and pay attention to my surrounding as I play. This is very interesting

Another thing to support that woman is Carmelita's ancestor is they both have blue hair, Blue is an extremely rare colour in nature so it makes sense it was passed down and is a defining feature.

At least one of Carmelita's ancestors has to have been in the same era as Sly Cooper's, I suppose that's another way of looking at it, either that, or they were all bellydancers (hence why Carmelita was so good at it)

It's amazing how a simple story of retrieving the lost pages of a book has conflagrated into this deep, lore-rich series, Jak and Daxter, and Ratchet and Clank being two more (I wonder if the developers knew about broadening the story in that way) what are your thoughts about the franchises as a whole?

Hey buddy I have an idea, did you notice how in sly 4 during the mission where you break sly and the others out of jail , where Kid cooper starts to say to Carmelita " You remind me of this one gal..." but he was cut off by Carmelita. Maybe he was referring to one of Carmelita's ancestors in that time. That may even trigger the question that maybe there are one of Carmelita's ancestors in Egypt trying to help him get home. BTW your videos are on point and I am definitley subscribing.
I did go over Tenesse mentioning 'gal'. It could perhaps have been her ancestor yeah! Carmelita's ancestor in Ancient Egypt sounds pretty interesting, she could have been a friend of Slytunkhamen's. Plus, not all her ancestors were cops/officers. Oh, and thanks!

If the Coopers all married a Fox, the likeliness of Cooper bearing any Fox-like traits would have been extremely high.
I always thought of it as the girl being a fox and the guy a raccoon.
Either way, the descendant would look more of a hybrid or a mixed breed rather than having only the appearance of one parent or the other, no matter what gender.
I really like this theory.

"Fourth generation" just means that at least one of her parents, one of her grandparents, and one of her great-grandparents were all cops, whereas none of her great-great-grandparents were (at least not the ones who gave birth to the great-grandparents that were cops). That doesn't mean that she couldn't have also had other ancestors who were cops or detectives, just not going five generations back.
It's funny how you say that about Carmelita Fox and Sly Cooper because I kind of noticed that they both had an on and off relationship correct me if I'm wrong because I think I remember on sly 2 that he was dancing with this girl name Neyla in one of the missions and I think Carmelita fox was there on that scene and it's kinda pretty funny how she got jealous though but I didn't know more about there ancestors back then when the game came out and I didn't know that sly didn't talk about his mom that's crazy though anyways like your videos man keep up good work

The painting Mona Lita was made by a forger and was arrested by a detective, this means its very likely this is a modern piece made to look old and Carmelita was the actual subject. The word detective has only been around since 1840's meanwhile the Mona Lisa was made in 1503. :3 Also 4 generations of police doesn't mean they're weren't any before it just means a continuous line. That said I think Tennessee did know one of her ancestors as a friend.

If the Mona Lita is anything to go by as evidence of there being ancestors of Carmelita: I'd say for every Cooper there is a version of Carmelita, and there's a long line of Thieves among the Cooper's, so perhaps there's an equally long line of "police-variant" Fox's in the timelines of each Cooper.
The number of times the Cooper's ran riot in stealing from other master thieves, and the Fox always catching up but a step behind the Raccoon, apprehending the other criminals but failing to truly catch a Cooper, but the Fox did catch something from the Cooper's... Their hearts and a mutual respect for one another - even if they're on opposite sides of the law, and it's why each one has a love-hate relationship with one another, they want to love each other very much, but their job occupation denies them that until either they successfully apprehend the Cooper or the Cop turns crooked and becomes a member of the Cooper gang (I assume after the near lifetime each Cooper had, I assume they did lower their guard one time, giving up the thievery for one solitary moment to be caught by the law, but only if the Fox got them, and like Sly 2 when Sly let himself go quietly whilst his gang left in shambles, he and Carmelita nearly popped out the champagne together in celebration of catching each other. If Sly did allow himself to get further and behind bars for a moment, I think Carmelita would've had relations with him, letting him out early on a promise that if he steals again: she's on him like the handcuffs he wore during the helicopter route back to Paris, or that his charm and the adventures they've had together sends Carmelita down a rabbit hole of whether or not upholding the law was what she really wants to do)
