- Back in 2014, Blockade Entertainment and Rainmaker studios released a trailer for an animated film based on the Sly Cooper franchise set for release in 2016. After the failure of the Ratchet and Clank movie, this project was shelved and never seen again outside of the original teaser trailer. Today, we explore the other 2 movies released under the Playstation Originals Banner and speculate on what the Sly Cooper movie could have been!

actually i did some research last night and it seems like there will be a Sly 5 announced in September this year!
This is certainly an interesting thought exercise. I have two main notes on the story you presented.
1. The rivalry between Sly and Carmelita is a major part of their dynamic, so I think it's a mistake to have her primarily after the Fiendish Five.
2. This synopsis introduces Clockwerk as a character way too early. For the buildup and mystique to pay off properly, I don't think we should learn about him before Sly does.
I just don't get it, I liked the ratchet and clank movie but I don't get why it was a bad enough movie to cancel the sly Cooper movie. Although I nevered played the series I was a fan of the ratchet and clank games. Even though I was born in 2007, I still played the collection and other games on the ps3 including the remake on ps4. These movies should be talked about more
While the blue hedgehog gets a movie. The Raccoon Robin Hood is being forced into non existance.
I think a subplot of the movie might have been Murray getting serious. He’s portrayed as a goofy in 1&2 but after Bentley gets injured he changes. I think that would have been the case for the movie. It would have been pretty compelling.
The voice for sly in the now dead movie sounds fine to me and Murrays design too.....i mean he legit looks like a actual wrestler then a thief and he's looks okay and i like it, but eh that's my opinion
Sucks that this movie is dead in the waters pretty much, Sly's look in the movie is my favorite design then his original look and it's too bad that we didn't get to see Carmelita's new look in the movie

I loved ratchet and clank, (tho I preferred Ratchet’s assholery and the character change over time) and I was soooo looking forward to this movie, and so incredibly disappointed when it just never came out

I’m honestly surprised that the 3 movies weren’t based on the Playstation Trio, Ratchet, Sly, and Jak instead of Sly, Ratchet, and Heavenly Sword.
I'm most surprised that Heavenly Sword was the movie that was actually made.
I still remember being upset about Sky’s VA being changed and the resigns of Bentley and Murray way back when I was a teenager. Its a shame the other Sony movies flopped and the game didn’t do to well. I think Sly would have been an easy adaptation that would have worked.

I'm still so sad we won't get a movie/series for this series. I grew up on this on my Playstation 2, it was about the first video game I actually played. It made me so excited and I'm still a little down about the cancelation. I'm disaed and Bently was my early introduction to disabilities and mobility aids, and in such a cool way too.
9:51-21:36 I Like The Idea Of What Could Been The Movie's Hypothetical Plot. Although,The Last Line Before The Credits Could been Changed To This From Carmelita: "Mark My Words,Ringtail! When I Get Out From Your Tricks And I'll Find You,We'll See Who Has The Last Laugh!! YOU HEAR ME!? WE'LL SEE!" Although,Her Line At The Beginning For The Movie: "I'll Find You,Cooper!" Is Kept.
All In All,I Still Like Your Idea On What Could Be The Movie's Plot.

I really want Sly to return and I would like Sly 5 and a Movie and TV Show. For the cast of the Animated Movie and TV Show, it needs to be handled by Sony and PlayStation Productions and for the cast of the movie, we need mainstream actors for the voices that way they’ll get a lot of recognition and they need to be the main stars of the movie. I know what you’re thinking, but the Ratchet & Clank Movie had the original voice actors and mainstream actors but the voices behind Ratchet and Clank didn’t get a lot of credit and recognition. For the Uncharted Movie, I’m glad it was handled by Sony and PlayStation Productions and it casted mainstream actors, but Tom Holland didn’t seem to fit the role of Nathan Drake and he even wants to be in a Jak & Daxter Movie.
I have choices for the cast of the Sly Cooper Animated Movie handled by Sony and PlayStation Productions and I decided to go a little weirder with the cast. Plus, it’s only mainstream actors who would voice the main characters of Sly Cooper including Sly, Bentley, Murray, and Carmelita. For the cast, I would cast Mena Massoud (Aladdin) as the voice of Sly Cooper, Ryan Potter (Titans, Big Hero 6) as the voice of Bentley, Michael B. Jordan (Creed, Black Panther) as the voice of Murray, and Adria Arjona (Andor, Morbius) as the voice of Carmelita Fox.

Great review, but I think sly sounded exactly like sly from my personal favorite installment, thieves in time.
I probably would've tried to do a new plot before the games. It felt simpler than trying to condense the game. But I like your pitch too.

Dude maybe you should make the sly Cooper movie with some really good youtube animators and CZcams music Makers and find some people on CZcams whose voice is sound a lot like Murray Bentley sly Carmelita fox clockwork so on and so forth I bet if you get enough people and stuff we can finally get our Sly Cooper movie we've been waiting for since 2016 and you can post it everywhere even

This is dissapointment, i was hyped when i watch trailer for this movie but it never come, i don't care about story or else at least i can get the first and last movie of Sly Cooper Gang
