We've rented this apartment here in China for $300 a month, which when compared to similar apartments in Beijing or Shanghai is a really good deal. This 3 bedroom apartment is about 120 square meters with two bathrooms and a lovely balcony to relax on. Hope this video can guide you on renting apartments in China. How does it compare to your rent currently? Stay tuned to see the property that we bought in China, it's a real nice property and I can't wait to show you guys!

If this video was done in the year 2018 it would have been very interesting. The current state of China is overwhelmed with absurd lockdowns, the seizure of People's houses in Shanghai for quarantine, starvation in some places as a result of unannounced lockdowns. Not to mention the mass exodus of Foreigners which is unheard of. Thus your videos makes you look useless. Are you human or you are blinded by money because the current state of China does not call for apartment rental but a boycott of monster airfares, discrimination, absurd and bogus lockdowns with starvation etc.
$300 a month. Those homeless guys from San Francisco could literally panhandle enough to live in this 3 bedroom apartment.
Panhandling during daytime. Lives like a Millionaire other time😬😬😝😝
Enough for three doses
@Dennis Estrada Do you have enough money to manage others? It would be nice if you could take care of you with your money. Have you ever been to Shanghai? Can you survive in Shanghai? What skills do you have? Can you find a high-paying job in Shanghai? Can you live in Shanghai? Are you worried that you didn't leave with the 1 million people who died in America?
Evil Uncle Sam prefer bumping countries than doing something about their Homeless Problem 🤣🤣🤣
Bunkbeds per room so 300/6 = $50 a month, they could make that with a 1hr work week. As many have mental problems and can't handle 40hr work weeks/boss oversight.
Living in China can be very expensive if you stay in the major cities, Shanghai, Beijing, Guangzhou etc. But if you can stay out of the foreigner "comfort zone", the cost of living decrease drastically, and you really don't lose much quality of life. The 2nd tier and 3rd tier cities basically have everything the first tier city has to offer, and the cost of living is 1/4 or 1/3 lower already. When it comes to 4th tier cities and up, it's easily half price there, and you still get your modern apartment, real 5G network and crazy fast delivery.
The drawback of living in the smaller cities is your Chinese language skill better be on par or you have someone to hold your hand, because the English speaking locals drastically decrease as well. Also it's much harder to find western pubs and bars or foreigner gathering spot, if you miss home or want to find some friends with the same background, you may have to travel to the major cities.

I watched a video recently about a guy who had been in a Chinese hospital for 12 day and was charged 6100 RMB(about $900) for all costs including accomodation, surgery and medicine. After insurance cover he finally paid 1200 RMB (around $170). In China this 12 day hospitalization creates $900 GDP while in the US it could be $100, 000 GDP.

Jason forgot to mentioned the complex has security, a garden and maintenance too like every other apartment complex in China.
Jason also forgot to mention the zero Covid lockdowns of complete cities where millions are not even allowed to buy food, rolling black outs even at train stations, and the coming food shortage due too the heat wave this summer.
That price is pretty insane, $312 per month, especially for a 3 bedroom apartment. It's even cheaper than my monthly auto lease from 23 years ago here in Los Angeles when inflation was much lower. Americans that's never been to China or don't know anything about it would be shocked and salivating over the affordable housing prices in China especially those of us living in the LA area.
This is a commie price that American corporates despise.
@@entertainmentjoke2871 "commie"? Thailand is also similarly cheap. U fuking POS racist.
This is a price only enough for an one bedroom flat rent for a week in London. From this, we can understand how underated is the Chinese currency! The true gdp of China is actually much more bigger than the US. Nearly in every industry and agriculture products or real estate, China is several times larger than the US, so why is US nominal gdp still bigger than China's, it is simply because the US dollar is still the world's dominant reserve currency, and the exchange rate still favors massively towards the US dollar. But it won't last forever, the US will eventually have to accept its true statue when it cannot manipulate international policy anymore.

Checking for your latest video, am so glad to see this with Lincoln as “intro” to your newly rented apartment… he never fails to make me SMILE 😁! Such affordable rent (US$300) is unheard of in the west. It will probably be around C$3000 per month. Qui Zhou is beautiful and well maintained, in spite of being one of the “poorest” provinces in China. Very glad to hear you have purchased your own apartment… congratulations!
The Chinese are building these apartments In my country and they are sold at 30000$..they have greatly improved the housing situation in my country Kenya

Lincoln is sooooo cute. The apartment like yours for 300 a month in the U.S. can only be in a dream. I love the tiles on your balcony. Blessings.
Congratulations! Guizhou is indeed one of the loveliest provinces in China!
Very nice flat and $310 a month for such a large 3-bed apartment is an absolute bargain. I know it's a huge apartment that Jason has just bought, something like 2,400 square feet, but still, it's going to take 10 months, sounds like he is decorating a Palace, haha! And little Lincoln is getting cuter, more cheeky every day and he's certainly not camera shy!

I live in one of the most expensive parts of the city and my rent is much cheaper than it was in the U.K.! (~£900 per month for a one bed newly renovated apartment) If you don’t mind sharing an apartment with others and living further out you can get an absolute bargain! We will be moving further out of the city centre in autumn and definitely need to find somewhere with a balcony 😂 Thanks for sharing! 💕
The rents in LA for a two bedroom apartment is $2700 US dollar, it’s not that nice either, new but no amenities and no security, this is the average price here, that’s why we have homeless people all over LA, who can afford the rents, you have to be a doctor or a lawyer to afford this price. I make $7000 US dollar a month, after tax and insurance and retirement savings, I only pocket $3500, I can barely eat after rent!!!!
@@jenme4796 Thats crazy! I think salary is a huge contributor. In Shanghai the minimum wage is 2500 RMB per month (just over £300 per month) which is why rent is often so low. If you are a foreigner, it is likely you will earn significantly more than this which is why it’s a great place for internationals to live, but it’s still quite difficult for locals to afford.
@@ExpatNatt it's time to learn Mandarin because I'm paying $1500 for a 1 bed before internet and phone. Not as bad as LA, my kitchen isn't also my bedroom, but still this is quite ridiculous

In China, development varies from region to region, developed big cities (Shanghai, Shenzhen, Beijing, etc.) are very expensive, but the income there is also very high, while in places that are lagging behind in development, such as Guizhou province where Jason is located, prices are lower, and due to the lagging development in northeast China in the past few years, even a 320 square meter duplex flat in Hegang, Heilongjiang province, is only sold for 155,000 RMB (23,000 USD) thousand dollars), and that price can't even buy 1 square metre in the most expensive part of Shanghai!
别人在讨论生活质量,你在这里对比房价?你是脑子有问题吗?

So why the heck are those people living in coffin house for $1500 downtown??? They hate the countryside THAT much that they’d rather live in dirty and tiny coffin houses vs just go here and work literally anything….can’t a waitress even afford this??
