much better than the PD40rV2 in my opinion. due to it having a tac switch instead if Magnetic ring to power light on. i give this comparison because both lights use the same emitter and have similar reflector.

Truthfully that’s a tough question because they’re both good reliable brands, it really just depends on what kind of beam you want, because the Nitecore is certainly gonna be floodier (multiple leds with small head) id flip a coin. Lol!
