So glad i found your channel, i found 2 plants a few months ago rotting away, i cleaned them up, re-potted them and now are blooming just like the ones you show, the Arnside Fringed Aztec, now i know what i got, they are lovely Pelargoniums :)

That's excellent news Kevin! It really is a lovely Pelargonium - I don't know why more people don't grow them.🤷🏻‍♂️

Fantastic video Geoff. Fibrex have Zonartic Pelargoniums which are fantastic. Originally bred in South Africa but now bred in England by Steve Pollard and distributed by Fibrex. I use SB Plant invigorator for whitefly & it works well.Enviromently . Friendly too.

Glad you liked it Ken! The Zonartic were the new ones I referred to in the video. I've never heard of SNB Plant invigorator - thanks, I'll look it up!

I associate pelargoniums with snails. Used to always find them hiding under their leaves. They are pretty .... in your greenhouse. Thanks for sharing

That's really surprising! Slugs and snails usually stay well clear of Pelargoniums. Are you thinking of geraniums? I know they can hide under geranium leaves very often. 🐌

This wasn't in the UK. I think they were just sheltering from the heat and sun as there was no other place for them to hide outside. It was a bit hot and sandy where we were.

Ah right! Given the October-style weather today, I'd love to be somewhere hot and sandy right now! 😎

Like I said in the other video, that is one stunning Pelargonium. Not a plant I can grow year round in south Florida, they melt away with our summer heat, humidity and rain. I've tried pulling them inside but that doesn't work for them either so I just plant them as a winter annual.

It certainly is a stunner! It seems really strange to think of someone using it as a winter annual when I'm trying to get enough sun to keep it going. 😂

Pelargoniums are quite easy with potting media - just a multipurpose compost will be fine (or a John Innes no. 2) - add some drainage in the for of grit or perlite if you like. As mediterranean plants they don't want anything that holds moisture for too long.
