    Thank you for the videos.
    Have you found one brand of transparency film preferable to others? I know Laser & Color, but HP vs. 3M vs. Apollo? Also, do you recommend applying a tiny piece of tape or drop of superglue or anything else to keep the two layers of film aligned?
    Again, thank you!

    Just bought the same projector for a video studio logo. Great when we have a tour of the facility. My question is, what type of clear film do you recommend? I see others asked the same but I don't see an answer. I know this is a really old video so you may not even be responding to this anymore.

    awesome video. question, are you taping these two transparencies together and then slipping it straight into the Ikon IR? Gluing them together? Thanks for this post. I am considering picking up a couple of these because of your video. BB

    Hi. How can I take out the white circle because when I printed the white circle was printed.

  • @djstogoweddingpartypros2188

    I don't think you should have to print 2 gobos(IMHO) and put them together to eliminate ghosting if you increase your dpi/pixels to the maximum for that printer. 54mm - 1200 pix=600 dpi;. 54mm - 600 pix=282 dpi Or better yet get a 1200 DPI laser printer. What font is that B in the 3/5/2016 gobo. Nice design also:-) R U taping the gobos together? What kind of tape?

    @OGSumoVIBE Před 8 lety +1

    Quick question. I don't see the significance of the dots at 09:45. Is that to somehow help you line the doubling of the gobos up? If so, my own personal experience didn't make that any easier with doing the dots as opposed to just lining up the actual letters of the monogram. In fact, the last two times out, I didn't even need to double it and got zero ghosting at all. Check out my last post. Thanks again for your videos. They helped me alot with both deciding to buy this fixture (I bought two) as well as setting up a template to make the actual 2 by 2 inch gobo. Bobby Blendz

    Nice tutorial on this, I have replicated your exact process and have a finished custom gobo design ready to print. I have a HP color lasjerjet pro MFP M277dw, and it is a brand new and the toner is full..but, I have printed 2 that really seems low quality like the black could be much darker.
    I noticed that you have the 'Match Print Colors' and 'Show Paper White' boxes checked (under the preview page), you have Rendering Intent set to: Absolute Colormetric and the Color Handling set to: Photoshop Manages Colors. I don't have the choices that you have selected for Document Profile & Printer Profile..and lastly, where and how in the Printer Settings dialog box, do I "disable the printer's Color Management" like it says to do by the big yellow triangle with the black ! ? I am good with computers, and I am a Photoshop novice at best..but, I have a nice gobo designed and I just want to make sure that I have any and all settings set to get the best possible print quality. Any help/advice would be much appreciated, TIA!

    Thank You for the video !! I almost got it figured out but I can't find the rasterize layer??? I'm using photo shop 2015 is this something on a newer version?? Your version looks different.

    • @randycates9577
      @randycates9577 Před 8 měsíci

      Newer versions of PS don't need to rasterize certain layers. I suspect you are using a newer version than the author. It won't matter if you don't see Rasterize, you don't need to.

    hi, great video... I have a question.... I get the ikon profile is a 32w gobo projector, the thing is that I try to do the gobo and it work for a few seconds, then the film starts burning.... so the question is, There are different types of film, heat resistant or something that make my film different from others???

    Hello friend, The first thing to be grateful for your videoes to you are fantastic. I am Spanish and do not understand very much his video for the language, it is possible that it could send an insole to my e-mail? Or does it know a video in Spanish of Gobo's creation for American DJ IKON? Thank you very much I hope that I could help. A greeting,

    Have you ever worked with thin font with the gobo? I'm having a issue with it aligning correctly.

    • @MoonlightEntertainmentVictoria
      @MoonlightEntertainmentVictoria  Před 6 lety

      I stay away from thin fonts because they can be hard to align! Try using a bold font and the four holes around the edges to help with lining up. Hope this helps!

    • @itemshackshack8971
      @itemshackshack8971 Před 6 lety

      Thanks for the reply. Does your font ever have little specks in them? and distortion on the edges?
      Most clients want them on the wall and it shows a lot. Is there any way to fix that?
