  • Did the truck shut you down because it said you were out of coolant, but you aren't out of coolant?!?! There is a fix for this, at least a way to keep you moving until you can get it fixed. Here is how to do it!

    Excellent video right when I needed it. Truck shut me down on I26 in SC. I had driven a long day so I went to bed. In the morning I found your video. Back on the road I was! Thanks!

    I just had this happen last week. I couldn't get the red clip to push out so i used needle nosed pliers to pull out the red clip then i was able to unplug the sensor. Had the check engine light come on but i was still able to drive the truck without shutting down. I will be in our terminal tomorrow to get it fixed.

      robyn2344 was the reason you couldn’t push it out do to 💅? I luv my 💅, but I couldn’t do it either & I used needle nose pliers as well. I think I broke red clip it came all the way out. I couldn’t get next step after that unhooking it. So my company is sending there mechanic to me now, terminal is 1 hr away. 🏳️‍🌈🌈

      @@coravaldez6873 HI. I hope the shop got you all fixed. I couldn't pull the red tab out and when I used needle nosed pliers to pull it out, it came all the way out. I was then able to pull the plug apart where the sensor is. I then took a paperclip and shoved both ends of the paperclip into the two contacts so it would think it was still plugged in. After all of that the truck stayed running. I had a check engine light but I was fine with that. It took a week to get me to a company shop and I had no problems with the sensor unplugged. At least your a hour away from a company shop, that helps alot. I love my nails 💅 too but they didn't get in the way. Good luck and safe travels 🏳️‍🌈 💜 🏳️‍⚧️ 🌈

    Check if ur Cascadia has an override button. That also works.

      This would be good, where is the override button?

    That antifreeze kinda dark there

  • @potterandweasleysgoldenret5573

    Will unplugging the sensor work on the 2021 Cascadia’s or did they update it where you can’t anymore? I’m so sick of this low coolant shutdown light coming on it’s not even funny anymore. It’s been in the garage already for a new sensor and it’s still doing it.

    • @potterandweasleysgoldenret5573
      @potterandweasleysgoldenret5573 Před rokem

      Plus unplugging the sensor won’t it think you are out of or low on coolant anyways. Sorta doesn’t make sense doing this also.

    • @DH.95
      @DH.95 Před 8 měsíci +1

      Yes it gives you a constant check engine light, but no engine protect shut off. The shut off is the problem & this solves that. Just make sure you’re not actually out of coolant

    • @kevinc865
      @kevinc865 Před 3 měsíci

      What about the paperclip trick to bypass both, the sensor n low coolant shutdown light? Obviously you gotta make sure you got plenty of coolant in the reservoir of course.

    Took off the sensor, truck still says it’s overheating

    • @DDTruckDriver
      @DDTruckDriver  Před 10 měsíci +4

      Well overheating and out of coolant are two different problems. This is to solve the truck thinking it is out of coolant, not overheating.

      Sounds like the thermostat sensor is faulty or stuck. Had that before (severe pain in the a**)
