I built this kit recently. Considering that is a Revell kit, this kit is excellent. That is a rare comment on Revell. The fitment and bed decal were quite good. The sprue attaching points on the chrome were hidden, e.g., your notice of the grill. The engine is very good. Went together well, again the fitment good. It is not a difficult kit, but fun to put together. It doesn't sit as shown on the box, but close. Good choice for a group build.
I have had this kit in my stash for a while, so when it came up as a group build I was really pleased looking forward to getting started on this, my first group build ever. I do have some ideas for colour etc but keeping my ideas to my self for now
I swear I have built like 10 of these already. Make great gifts for people. No mojo on this for the group build however. Good luck to all taking part. This truck really is a dream to build and so so customizable. Sky is the limit. Cheers

Nice kit, nice review. Finished mine in Feb this year, you actually said how good it looked in black in the finished section on the Friday show! I cut the wood planks from the decal and used bmf between and added a bit to the engine. There are pics on the good old ISM forum in my completed builds if you want a reminder.
I built the monogram kit back in the 80s, the bonnet is shaved down, new rims, frenched in bumpers, the roof is lowered, the foose logo on the the back is new tooling, if you can find the episode where chip does this truck for his father you can get a really good idea how much he changed the truck from its original version
Looks like a great kit. Looking forward to the group build will be my first one ever to participate in. Got a good idea of what I want to do with mine.
I was on the fence about joining in on this build, but now it's looking a lot more likely. Pretty sure it's in my local Michael's.
