Nobody does recent Indian history (1500-1950) better than William.

Anita and William are so awesome. Just touring the world, taking selfies. They are great story tellers and so much fun to listen to.

WOW!!!! What an incredible memory for detail, and what a passionate love of history! William, I've read your book on the Kohinoor, but your brilliant lecture was not only like reading the book again, but even better! Thank you for being who you are, and thank you for your complete lack of self consciousness or vanity about your clothes. Your true raiment is your genius, and it is dazzling! Thank you, you wonderful, adorable , happy genius !:) God Bless You. YOU are our Kohinoor !:)

William Dalrympl,e, a hands on historian . Always fascinating with intriguingly dramatic, geographical sources. Truth is stranger than fiction , as Mr. Dalrymple successfully describes, effortlessly. Thank you.

I don't understand why Indian historians are not celebrated in same manner as William. The book which is based on the documents are already available and you just need the curiosity to come to a conclusion.
Better to read books written by Indian historians too academics and non academics and appreciate their efforts in the same manner as foreigners.
It's our history let's learn from our perspective rather than outsiders

"outsiders" really!! Strange that your truths revolves around the birthplace of the person conveying it. Grow out of your prejudices and learn to differentiate truths, rather than looking under belly of the people to decide your opinions.

Many questions and obscurity and fogs surrounded by Kohinoor Diamond been cleared.
The only question remained who own Kohinoor Diamond?
Emphatically INDIA is its true owner cause it initially found on the Kaveri Riverbed in India.

Who are those two women on stage?! Totally disrespectful to the presenter. Playing with the phone, chatting while in full public view. He would have had a better audience lecturing to villagers, no offence meant here to the rural folk. Obviously, cutting one's hair( apparently a first sign of liberation among aspiring Indian feminists) and speaking English as a result of attending English medium school doesn't necessarily mean one should be considered cultured.

I totally agree. I wish they'd not sat on the stage during his brilliant and passionate lecture. They are excruciating ! As an Indian I am ashamed of them. One of them happens to be his c0-author - not that he ever needed one.

Impressive and a riveting articulation - with fluidity, passion and authority - obviously extremely erudite. Too bad the bumbling Indians remain as clueless today as in the days of the diamond’s discovery - oblivious of history and heritage.
