Seriously y'all this is the best 7-Up pound cake I've ever had! It has that classic buttery lemon-lime flavor and soft, dense and moist on the inside! Super easy recipe!

Heyyy girl, I commented 5 years telling you how good this recipe turned out. 2022 is here and it is still my most requested cake to bake. My mom loved it so much that she made me bake it for her bday every year since I discovered it from your channel. Sadly, I lost her to Covid last year august and today I’m missing her like crazy so I’m going to bake this cake right now to feel closer to her. I made this two days ago and my mom took some to our job to share. One coworker said it melts in his mouth like butter. Another is wondering if I’m taking orders. I changed it (I’m bad at sticking to a recipe); instead of shortening, I just added another stick of butter and I substituted the lemon extract for 2 tsp if fresh lemon juice. Now I just need someone’s son to take a bite and propose.😂

Thank you! I hate artificial butter taste, it ruins sweets for me so I will just use the extra butter instead of butter flavor Crisco.

I made this recipe this weekend, and it was SOOOO good moist and delicious. I mistakenly added 1/2 cup Whipping Cream but I just dropped the amount of soda by a 1/4 cup. Even with that mistake it still came out DELICIOUS. I'LL be using this recipe for years to come.
This recipe is the best! I made it twice within the past two days because my family enjoyed it so. Texture is on point and its very moist. I also made one with heavy whipping cream and salted butter, and one with buttermilk and unsalted butter. They both came out awesome😊😊
I like that most of your cake recipes are done with a "hand-held" mixer opposed to the.. infamous "standing" mixer. I have no room in my kitchen for that dinosaur! It's refreshing to know I can now get my Better Crocker on without all the fancy equipment. ;o)

I made this cake yesterday and DAMN! It is amazing! I would honestly say, if you're sceptic whether to try it or not, do it. It tastes amazing. I didn't add in the extra lemon and lime, but I used the lemon extract. (It smelled kinda funky when it was raw but it tastes like fresh lemon when cooked)
The 7 UP pound cake came out beautifully and the taste and texture outstanding!
My go to cake for pot lucks and other food related occasions. Never any leftovers. Freezes well too!

MoMo I made this last night. I love your recipes you make it look so easy! All the measurements are in the description on her blog for the sake of time in her videos. My glaze wasn't as white as yours it went on kinda clear. Maybe it was the lemon juice I added I like my glaze a little tart. But this was my first pound cake EVER and it went quite well. I love you so much I'd love to see longer videos I enjoy you!

I made this cake yesterday with hesitation because the measurements on the recipe didn't look like what you were using in the video. I thought you were withholding pertinent information. Needless to say, I made it because my coworker wanted one for the holidays, and I told her that I would try to make one for her. I followed your recipe to the "T." To be honest I was a little skeptical about trying another 7-up pound cake recipe because the last one I tried the inside of the pound cake was like a rubber Ball I tossed it and made it a few more times and the results were the same but GIIIIIIIRRRRRRRRLLLLLL I made this last night and the cake was moist and very good P.S.
